This School Psychologist will provide counseling services to students on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and to the regular student population (treating mood disorders, autism, anxiety, depression, ADHD, social skill deficits, conduct disorders) to foster positive coping strategies, motivation, and skill development. Responsibilities will include conducting psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs and strengths, developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and 504 Plans, provide individual and group counseling to students to address emotional and behavioral issue. They will collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create supportive learning environments, provide crisis intervention and support for students and staff as needed. They will also coordinate outreach activities that support students and families including pediatricians, outside counseling agencies, and agencies such as DCF, DMH, etc.

Primary Responsibilities

Records patient evaluations, re-evaluations and care provided in the medical record, in accordance with departmental documentation standards.
Informs patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members of evaluation results and plan for treatment and refers for further evaluation.
Plans and provides therapy education and counseling to individuals.
Provides mentorship and training to clinical team members and/or students as eligible based on departmental needs.
Demonstrates interdisciplinary, safe, patient-centered care and delivers excellent customer service.
Participates in performance improvement activities and suggests areas for improvement to colleagues in a tactful and considerate manner. Proposes performance improvement topics and alternate treatment techniques to improve therapy services.

Qualifications
Education & Experience - Required
Education: Master's degree in speech language pathology.
Experience: Successful completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). 1 year of experience beyond the CFY is preferred.
Licensure/Certifications:
Full speech pathology license in the state of Maryland.
Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) is required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

We are looking for compassionate speech language pathologists with:
Master's degree from a speech and hearing program certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association to practice in the state in which you work.
License and certification as a Speech Therapist, issued by the state in which you will work.
Minimum of one year healthcare experience
Current driver's license and ability to spend ~20% of your day driving to/from patient locations
A commitment to consistently meet critical deadlines for charting
The skills needed to self-manage your time and schedule
Demonstrated experience with tablets, mobile phones and EMR software

Responsibilities of the Speech Language Pathologist
Direct therapy with students in preschool to grade 12
Consultation with teachers, other therapists, support staff, and families to facilitate classroom mobility and participation.
Documentation requirements include data collection, marking period progress updates, and yearly IEP revisions, including updated goals and treatment strategies.
Attendance at IEP meetings is recommended.
Case Management may be required
AAC consultation may be required
Some travel may be required throughout the school day
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Graduate of an approved Speech and Language Pathology Program
CCC's
Educational or Instructional Certificate
Current PA state license
Preferred candidates have experience working with children in the school setting.
