We provide a home for seniors who want to live in a place that has the full continuum of care - meaning residents can move into independent living and then as their care needs evolve, they can move to assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, or stay in our short- term rehab center. We are a five-star facility licensed by Medicare and Medicaid and staffed by people who have the experience and passion to provide exceptional care.
Positions available include working every other weekend and every other holiday:
Part-Time: 6:00pm - 10:30pm (28 hours per two week pay period)
Seven 4 hour shifts per two week pay period
Par-Time: 6:00pm - 10:30pm (36 hours per two week pay period)
Nine 4 hour shifts per two week pay period
A LicensedPractical Nurse is responsible for:
Providing direct care to residents under individual plans of care, administering care and medications per doctor's orders.
Administer medications and/or treatment in accordance with physician's orders and monitors for effectiveness/response.
Document resident care using charting software.
Notify Nurse Manager, attending physicians, and family members of significant changes in a resident's condition, and take follow-up action, as necessary.
Work to coordinate, oversee, and provide guidance to CENAs
Display a positive attitude and respect for all residents, families, and staff.
Qualifications:
Degree obtained from an accredited nursing program.
Must be in good standing with the Michigan Board of Nursing and have a current MI LPN license.
Minimum of one-year previous experience as a nurse preferred but not required.
Special knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal regulations
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities*
The Educational Nurse Coordinator (ENC) for the Michigan Dialysis Services (MDS) will play a pivotal role in staff development, quality improvement, and patient care excellence within the department. This position will collaborate with leadership to ensure effective onboarding, ongoing education, and adherence to evidence-based practices for MDS staff. The responsibilities of the ENC include:
Orientation & Staff Education:
* In collaboration with the leadership team, design and implement comprehensive orientation programs for all existing and new MDS staff, including scheduling, preceptor assignments, and oversight of orientation documentation and competency assessments.
* Develop standardized orientation documents tailored to the needs of the MDS team.
* Conduct regular education assessment surveys to identify and address the learning needs of MDS- Canton staff.
* Coordinate and deliver audits, in-service training sessions based on survey results and other identified needs.
* Provide and facilitate continued education (CE) opportunities to support staff development.
Technology & Superuser Role:
* Serve as a superuser for MI Chart and eCube, providing staff with technical support and expertise to enhance workflow efficiency.
Quality Improvement & Patient Education:
* Partner with MDS leadership and interdisciplinary teams to lead quality improvement initiatives, including planning, implementation, and re-evaluation phases.

The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is the clinical leader for a program or area of nursing practice within Michigan Medicine. Nursing Student Success and Transition Coach (Part-time Grant Funded)

Responsible for providing mentoring to nursing program students. Assists ADN and BSN students by helping identify personal and academic barriers. Provides resources and referrals, goal setting, and accountability to support program retention, and graduation. The Nursing Student Success Coach will continually engage with program students and provide early intervention or remediation strategies as deemed appropriate by the Nursing program. This position also serves as a resource for program graduates transitioning into the workplace.
Essential Functions
1. Coaches ADN and BSN students transitioning into the nursing program through completion. 2. Identifies student need and potential obstacles to success. 3. Develops tutoring strategies for students based on course outcomes. 4. Facilitates communication between departments and nursing faculty to encourage student success. 5. Participates in presentations and student orientation efforts as necessary. 6. Collaborates with community partners in conjunction with the Director of Nursing. 7. Refers students to appropriate resources internally and externally. 8. Develops a transition to practice workshop for students in their final semester. 9. Keeps adequate and accurate records.
