Job Description:
The Applicant will support and assist individuals with daily living skills, prepare and assist with meal planning, building housekeeping skills, money management, personal care, and grocery shopping. Applicants must be creative, organized, and enjoy scheduling and implementing activities in the homes and outings in the community and focus on building connections within the community. A successful applicant will be reliable, and hands-on, with a genuine interest in helping others stay active, engaged, and involved in their communities.
Positions Available:
Full Time and Part Time positions available
All located in Charles County
Duties Include but not limited to:
Implementing goals
Monitoring/documenting progress
Administer medications
Assist individuals move from room to room and around their homes
Assisting individuals with laundering and house cleaning
Supporting individuals with their own choices
May be required to transport individuals on outings in the community of their choice.
Position requires flexibility during the day when individuals are at the day program ie: assist with medical appointments if necessary, assist if individuals are sick
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
Clean Driving Record with 2 years driving experience and less than 2 points on driving record
Experience working with disabled adults preferred
Basic Computer Skills
