Participates in continuous improvement by monitoring trends in hypoglycemia/hyperglycemia and utilizes evidence to improve diabetes care delivery structures and processes

May arrange and coordinate the activities of the Advisory Group.

Ensure company standards for cleanliness for the sales floor, stockroom, restrooms, cash wrap, and hospitality area.
Provide clear and consistent feedback to employees on a regular basis.
Adhere to all company guidelines, policies and programs and sets a positive example.
Understand, execute and train all cash-handling and reporting functions.
Process all register functions and ensure they are followed in the store.
Ensure the store is secured and respond to any alarms as directed.
Ensure the safety of employees and customers and communicate concerns to Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.

High school diploma or equivalent.
Retail experience is preferred but not necessary.

Environmental Factors:
Must be able to stand or walk for up to eight hours a day.

Frequently lifting up to twenty pounds, occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds. Push/pull up to 20 lbs.
Ability to climb ladders, reach and bend.
Work in temperatures ranging from 50 - 85 degrees - especially in our stock room areas.
Use of a computer up to 60 % of the time throughout the day.

Summary of Position:
Under the supervision of the Unit Manager/ADON/DON, the RN assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of residents/patients for a shift of duty. Nursing care is provided through assessment, implementations, and evaluation of the plan of care. The RN adheres to the standards of care for the area, manages the environment to maintain resident/patient safety, and supervises the resident/patient care activity performance by nursing assistants and helpers. Follows all North Shore's policies and procedures. Performs duties as defined by the State Nurse Practice Act. Follows where applicable JCAHO standards.
Requirements of the Position:
Licensed in the State as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Must have and maintain current CPR certification
Able to use necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.).
Able to calculate drug dosage
Meets all health requirements imposed by law
Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other center staff
Able to read, write, speak and understand English

Job Specific Duties:
Interprets Patient/Resident Medication orders and provides the correct drug, dose, quantity, and dosage form to the correct individual

Assists in control and distribution of controlled substances with strict adherence to procedural and legal requirements.
Investigates and takes appropriate action to resolve problems within the department.

Experience and Training Required:
A minimum of high-school diploma or equivalent with competency of basic English and Math skills.
Knowledgeable in relevant state and federal regulations and pharmacy policies and practices.
Valid Wisconsin Drivers license.
National Certification (CPhT) preferred.
Completion of pharmacy technician training or equivalent, as determined by Pharmacy Director.
BLS certified.
