Project Managers are responsible for all daily project management issues and administrative support. Responsibilities will include problem-solving, clerical, data entry, filing, documentation control and invoice processing. Develop and submit RFI's PIP's, identifying discrepancies in design and contract requirements, offer solutions to the Owner that will assist in overcoming design/constructability issues. Price forward CO's that evolve because of issues identified in RFI's or Owner issued documents. Negotiate and agree on changes with a commitment to pay from the Owner. Manage added materials/equipment etc. required for added work (i.e. submittals need to be revised to cover CO, new materials need to be submitted, coordinate equipment/personnel specific to added work. Put General/Owner on notices of impacts/delays due to other trades, weather, scheduling conflicts etc. Represent and protect the interest of Liberty. POSTION REQUIREMENTS: Requires high level of analytical skills, ethical behavior, security of sensitive information and maintaining company confidentiality. Strong aptitude for financial systems with proven ability to define problems, collect data and develop an action plan. General Summary: The Construction Manager provides leadership to Construction teams by ensuring that efficient preparation and implementation occurs with forecasts, estimates, budgets, plans, inspection, testing, and other related job duties. This role serves s as a leader by guiding and developing members and maintains close working relationship with all partners to support and oversee build activities within the network. The manager keeps upper management up to date with reporting and dashboards. Essential Job Functions: Directs and coordinates the work of assigned staff. Assists team with reviewing detailed drawings and staking sheets for new construction, removal or rearrangement of existing aerial or underground lines, cable, and conduits. Ensures that teams manage compliance to industry specifications by staking all lines to be built and organization necessary paperwork and staking sheets and trackers. Monitors the routing of lines, equipment requirements, installation drawings, costs estimates, construction work, and other project specifics. Advises and researches innovative technologies and identifies areas of the plant that need to be upgraded. Attends various meetings with management, departments, and vendors to ensure company objectives are met. Participates in inter-departmental planning meetings to coordinate and communicate activities related to the successful completion of projects. Responsible for performance management and employee development activities including performance reviews and time approvals. Makes job safety a primary objective in all duties. Travels to customer sites, project areas, business related events, and other Ritter Communications locations as required. Building and maintaining of project trackers, dashboards, and reporting for ALL projects. Other related duties and projects as assigned. Job Description RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist installation and other teams with customer activation of fiber-optic telecommunication in subscriber homes (e.g., pulling low-voltage wire); including single family, condo and apartments in various locations. Install and service full video services, including analog, digital, and HD TV. Install, service, and disconnect telephone and internet customers; punch down telephone lines. Maintain a safe work environment by following safe practices and adhering to safety policies, which includes practicing safe driving techniques. Install all types of CAT5/CAT6 drop wire and install connectors on CAT5/CAT6 drop wire. Trouble shoot video, telephone and internet problems from any telecommunications demark to customer premise equipment. Troubleshoot IP issues from any telecommunications demark to customer premise equipment. Successfully install all ancillary equipment provided to subscribers. Test and tone all wires from equipment room to outlet. Install RF In-Building cellular systems at various sites, perform equipment and system repair, maintenance and testing. Identify and acquire parts for replacement and maintenance and Wire, connect, test and maintain new service or systems. Install conduit/pathways in the ROW from source to site by trenching, excavating, hand digging etc. Use RF test equipment such as a PIM unit, Line Sweep Tester or Light Meter to verify full functionality of installed components. Utilize construction documents to plan and complete site builds. Coordinate utility locates and implementation of traffic control plans. Troubleshoot and resolve problems in electrical circuits, RF radios, omni directional antennas. Plan new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications, safety codes and local electrical codes. Other duties as required or assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Operates crew vehicles, vacuum excavation equipment, conduit trailers, fiber trailers, air compressors, backhoe/mini-excavator/plow/directional drill and other tools and equipment normally used in aerial and underground construction activities. Pulls various types of cables, including, but not limited to fiber, coax and copper in conduit. Performs line maintenance and repairs for subscriber-based electronics and cable infrastructure that delivers products and services to customers. Performs traffic control flagging duties for roads and highways as needed. Ensures company assets are properly and continuously maintained in excellent operating condition while secured in a safe manner Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Minimum of 3 years of experience in aerial and underground construction in the cable or telephone industry. Proficient in all essential duties and responsibilities. Accurately completes progress forms, project activity reports and all other documentation pertaining to work assignments. Loads and transports heavy equipment to and from assigned jobsites. Reads and interprets maps/prints/drawings while determining the appropriate materials, equipment, and tools necessary to complete the assigned work. Surveys job sites while considering all safety measures to ensure a safe working environment for associates, general public and property. Stays familiar with proper safety equipment and the proper use of the equipment and installation. Follows OSHA, NESC, and Company safety regulations and precautions when completing assigned work. The Construction Technician I assists with installing small cells and fiber optic lines, both underground and aerial. Performs maintenance on existing small cells and fiber optic lines, which can include but may not be limited to the following listed below.
