The Field ConstructionSupervisor is responsible for the performance and safety of all crew members on their projects. By educating and leading by example all team members on safety procedures, managing the quality of all work performed, and by making recommendations for improvements, you will ensure that projects stay within budget and work is delivered on time.

Your Next Career Opportunity - Supervisor, Construction
Manage construction/colocation process to produce quality sites to customer specifications within the timeframe and budget required by planning, coordinating and managing multiple projects while supervising field employees and subcontractors. Act as on site representative to client with responsibility for ensuring all requirements are clearly communicated to internal team and met within budget and timeframes specified.
What You Will Do - Primary Responsibilities
* In conjunction with Territory Management, plan, schedule, prioritize and organize material deliveries, equipment, manpower and subcontractors in a manner ensuring that projects progress in an efficient and productive manner. Consider company priorities and customer expectations in all decisions.
* Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on customer specifications and produce quality sites, which meet or exceed customer expectations.
* Inspect job sites daily to ensure construction is performed in accordance with plans, and specifications, and that customer and SBA quality standards are met. Immediately implement corrective action for any deficiencies identified.
* Maintain and enforce all SBA and OSHA safety practices and perform daily job site safety inspections. Immediately stop work on any site where unsafe work practices or conditions exist, regardless of who is performing the work. Conduct weekly job site safety meetings with all employees and subcontractors. Submit report to safety representative on topics discussed and names of those in attendance.
* Inspect subcontractor work daily; ensuring it meets design criteria and quality standards. Ensure that all subcontracted work progresses according to schedule. Immediately notify Territory Management of any schedule, quality or budget impacting issues that cannot be resolved with subcontractor. Perform final inspection on completed work and have any deficiencies corrected, prior to subcontractor demobilizing from site.
* Interface with client's representative on job site to resolve issues, schedule customer provided equipment deliveries and ensure total customer satisfaction.
* Maintain open communication with internal/external field personnel and respond, if possible, or convey their needs and concerns to appropriate office personnel.
* Confirm hours worked and description of work performed for employee(s) with Territory Management.
* Notify Territory Management of resources and equipment needs.
* Provide manager and customer representative with daily status report(s) as required.
* Perform bid walks and submit documentation to Territory Management as required.
* Provide documentation to Territory Management for preparation of project deliverables to client.
* Coordinate delivery of concrete, stone, tower, building, etc. with vendors and Territory Management.
* Participate in pre-construction walks with client and vendors to confirm site layout and staking to ensure correct setbacks, tower orientation and tower anchor distances. Ensure underground utilities have been identified and properly marked.
* Immediately report any vehicle accident or workplace injury to company safety representative.
* Develop and Build Subcontractor Base.
* Ensure all appropriate building permits, NTP(s), and lease status approvals have been received prior to initiating construction.
* Must be able to work extended hours as required to include evenings and weekends.
* Perform other related duties as required to ensure a safe workplace, quality construction and timely completion of each project.

10+ years construction/telecommunications/data center industry experience with strong background in multiple facets of technology
Demonstrated experience with program management, leadership, scheduling, cost control and risk and opportunity management
In-depth understanding of hyperscale engineering requirements, such as data center design, construction and operations, infrastructure installations and quality and safety protocol
Proven project management experience with budget, safety and quality expertise required
Demonstrated commitment to supporting an environment of world-class client focus, transparency and collaboration
Experience with security, audio visual, videoconferencing, wireless communications preferred

Client Proposal Development, Budget Formatting, and Submission
Assist in processing RFI's (Request for Information) as required
Assist in preparing Submittal Documents, tracking and follow-up with the Submittal Process as required
Understand and manage Vendor and Subcontractors scope of work for the project to include managing changes
Prepare client change order documentation based on project team input and coordinate internal reviews
Project Schedule updates using Excel and Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software
Participate in weekly vendor meeting (prepare/update vendor meeting minutes)
Participate in weekly project meetings
Work with the Procurement Manager and Project Controller to understand the project value/Control Budget
Work with the Pre-Construction team to assist with the growth and development of Project Coordinators
Work with awarded Subcontractors to align on schedule, budget, changes in scope, logistics, daily planning and weekly look-aheads
Prepare preliminary visual schedules and project schedules to align with Exential's build sequence and align with the Master Project Schedule
Work with Precon and Procurement Manager to Prepare Vendor List as needed for new project
Work with Precon and Procurement Manager to prepare vendor recommendations prior to Bid Award. Review Bid Tabs in accordance with Project Guidelines for submission to client
Work with the Procurement Manager to maintain and update all Vendor deliverables of fabrication to the Integration Shop
Attend weekly job-site meetings for coordination and alignment with Exential crew and the Construction Manager (virtual or in-person)
Willing/Able to travel for durations up to 2 weeks at a time to support project jobsite activities and develop competency with our operations (differs by project). This provides an ideal opportunity to experience and gain an understanding of our modular process at our Offsite Modular Facility (OSM+) as well as spending time at the job site

Foundational understanding or experience in the construction industry and/or manufacturing of modules assemblies.
Proficient understanding of P&ID scope documents and specifications required for vendor scope development packages.
Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, Outlook and MS Project) is a must. Working knowledge of PDF editor and File Sharing a plus.
Proficiency in English language with excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Excellent organization and attention to detail.
High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.

Bachelor's Degree in Construction or Engineering discipline or closely related subject, OR equivalent yrs experience.

The work environment characteristics include periodic noise increases when in the Manufacturing facility, although the office environment is usually quiet and respectful. The Construction Manager (CM) - In-Building Wireless is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the construction and installation of in-building wireless systems, including Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), small cell solutions, and related infrastructure. The CM ensures that construction activities are completed safely, on time, within scope, and in accordance with industry standards and client specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Project Oversight:
Manage all aspects of the in-building wireless construction process from pre-construction through close-out.
Ensure that construction plans and specifications are followed accurately.
Coordinate site walks, construction kickoff meetings, and handoffs to the integration team.
Scheduling & Coordination:
Develop and maintain construction schedules in alignment with project milestones.
Coordinate work between internal teams, subcontractors, property management, and third-party vendors.
Schedule access to buildings and secure necessary permits, approvals, and safety documentation.
Field Management:
Conduct site visits to monitor progress and quality of work.
Ensure adherence to safety standards (OSHA, company, and customer-specific).
Identify and mitigate construction risks and delays.
Quality Control:
Conduct inspections to verify installation meets design and RF engineering requirements.
Ensure proper documentation and photos are collected throughout the construction lifecycle.
Support troubleshooting and issue resolution during integration and commissioning phases.
Budget & Resource Management:
Track project costs and manage construction budgets in collaboration with the Project Manager.
Review contractor invoices and validate completed work before approving payments.
Determine pricing inputs and assist in generation of cost models and BOMs
Documentation & Reporting:

Ensure complete and accurate close-out packages are delivered.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Telecommunications, Engineering, or related field preferred.
5-8+ years of construction management experience, preferably in the wireless industry with a focus on in-building/DAS projects.
Strong knowledge of DAS, Small Cell, RF cabling, fiber optic installations, and related infrastructure.
Familiarity with OEM hardware such as CommScope, Corning, JMA, SOLiD, Ericsson, Nokia, or similar.
Experience working in venues such as hospitals, commercial buildings, stadiums, airports, and campuses.
Proficient in reading construction drawings, RF system designs, and fiber/cabling layouts.
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
