The Medical Assistant assists with various healthcare services following established policies and protocols including but not limited to obtaining specimens, conducting routine lab studies, and assisting with administrative functions. Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by a physician. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Interview patients, take vital signs (such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height) and record information;
* Properly utilize Electronic Health Records system, recording all required and/or relevant information in the system;
* Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients;
* Drape patients with covering and positions instruments and equipment;
* Hand instruments and materials to medical provider as directed;
* Clean and sterilize instruments;
* Operate X rays, electrocardiograph (EKG), and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic test or calls medical facility or department to schedule patients for tests;
* Give injections or treatments, and performs routine laboratory tests;
* Key data into computer to maintain office and patient records as necessary (Misys, LINK);
* Keep exam and treatment rooms clean, well-stocked;
* Set up equipment in exam rooms;
* Perform hearing screening, plotting growth parameters;
* Advise patients concerning preparation for tests;
* Document administration of immunizations and medications in chart;
* Administer immunization injections/treatments (must be done only with licensed provider on premises);
* Call patients to provide normal and abnormal lab results;
* Keep logs: lead, medications, record refrigerator temperature and zero scales daily and abnormal TB results;
* Calibrate lab machines as needed and urine machines monthly;
* Provide translation for providers or arrange for translation services;
* Travel between clinic sites to cover staffing shortages;
* Provide back-up to front desk responsibilities including receptionist duties, clerical duties such as filling out forms, answering telephones or filing;
* Electronic Health Record (EHR) inputting prescriptions and patients chart;
* Practice Management System (PMS) Registration, Scheduling and Billing;
* File medical charts when needed;
* Maintain patient flow to reduce waiting time;
* Perform lab proficiency testing, run in-house lab tests, prepare outside lab specimens, check lab orders and bills for accuracy;
* Participate in MA review of charts;
* Send out Medical Records when requested by other offices;
* Attend staff meetings;
* Inventory and order medical supplies and materials;
* Notify Clinic Manager when supplies need to be ordered or when vaccines or medications are out;
* Serve as advocate for Indigent Program organizing forms for providers, instructing patients, helping patients complete forms and serving as liaison with drug companies;
* Comply with all personal medical requirements including but not limited to: annual physical, current vaccinations (MMR, Tdap, Influenza, Hepatitis B), and TB testing (skin test or chest x-ray);
* Attend meetings, trainings, and other work-related events as needed; and
* Other duties may be assigned or may be modified as business needs dictate.

Overview
Purpose Statement/Position Summary: Responsible for leading and providing a stimulating, safe, and developmentally appropriate educational environment where infants, toddlers and preschool children. Creates the opportunity for children to develop cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills. Master Teacher develops and implements daily lesson plans for early childhood education classrooms, leads and supervises infant, toddler and preschool teachers in curriculum, classroom environment, and parent relationships. Takes the lead on ensuring proper staffing and coverage in their classroom/program. Schedule:

Under the direction of the Early Learning Center Director, the assistant teacher staff member will assist the lead teachers with classroom activities under the project-based learning curriculum. Assistant Teachers will follow the daily routine, lead activities, engage with children positively and enrichingly, and supervise children. Occasionally, assistants will be assigned to cover the front desk, answer phone calls, and assist parents with their questions and needs. This position is also responsible for helping with recordkeeping, classroom supplies inventory, and any safety issues. Responsibilities:
Maintain all children's classroom records in an up-to-date accurate and appropriate manner.
Conduct classroom programs in compliance with department policies and procedures following all state and federal laws and regulations.
Keep the lead teacher and director informed of incidents, problems and occurrences with staff, children, parents, and program.
Complete assignments in a timely, organized, neat and accurate manner.
Attend and participate in regular in-service trainings for staff.
Assist with the front desk when needed, answering phones, greeting parents and addressing center needs.
Advise Child Development Director of necessary equipment repair and general maintenance needs
Follow daily opening and / or closing procedures.
Maintain work area in an organized and appropriate manner.

Supervise and assist children with meal and snack time.
Supervise and assist children with toileting and personal care needs.
Supervise nap/quiet time for children.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of 6 ECE units from an accredited college.
At least 18 years of age.
Current CPR, First Aid, AED certifications.
Safety, Sexual Harassment, Child Abuse prevention, Mandate Reporter, and other assigned in-person/online training within 30 days of hire date.
Up-to-date TB test every 2 years. If you have a chest x-ray on file a TB test is no longer required.
Must have a current Live scan active on file OR obtain clearance prior to first day of hire (live scan is at the expense of the employee)
Previous experience working (paid or volunteer) with children in a developmental setting preferred.
Ability to execute and lead age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities.
Previous experience with diverse populations. Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position is not considered light duty. Employees must be able to lift 60 pounds; be able to stand, walk, sit, bend, squat, kneel, and be in good physical health.

The Tustin Family Campus program is an 18 month residential treatment program serving 15 mothers with up to 32 children. All residents have open Child and Family Service cases in the County of Orange. These mothers are working to reunify with their children while at the same time addressing their histories with addiction and mental health. Our treatment team works closely with Orange County Social Services, Orange County Mental Health and Family Court to ensure successful case plan completion and reunification. Clients receive substance abuse counseling and education, counseling and education in parenting and life skills as well as individual and group therapy for both mothers and children. The goal for our clients is that they graduate with custody of their children, affordable housing and a steady income.
The Childcare Parenting Specialist will assist with the Parenting Skills Program, a family centered program, which has the goal of helping parents to provide a healthy and safe environment for their children and to maximize their children's emotional and cognitive development.
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the Child Care Parenting Specialist are as followed:
Provide 1:1 counseling to each client, introducing behavioral approaches to child guidance.
Complete clear concise and timely documentation.
Facilitate regularly scheduled activities to promote mother/child bonding such as Mommy and Me Groups, story telling, music groups, arts and crafts.
Facilitate Evidence Based Curriculum groups such as Nurturing Parents and Strengthening Familes.
Oversee and provide guidance to mothers who are assigned to childcare duties as part of their program activities.
Assist mothers in obtaining safe, quality off-site child care when required, while still in residence or exiting from the program.
