Reviews patient allergies, past medical history, drug interactions and lab information for any potential clinical conflicts prior to dispensing medications. Responsible for inventory control. Provides drug information support for other healthcare team members. The Pharmacist oversees the work of all pharmacy students and technicians in the preparation of medications to ensure accuracy and safety in the medication use process. The Pharmacist collaborates with the Health Care Team on the planning for continuum of care and discharge planning.
