Current and valid NYS CNA Certification

Responsibilities for a CNA: CertifiedNursingAssistant:
Provides all ADL care to the residents using the care plan as a guide.
Bathes resident daily; follows shower schedule.
Maintains privacy for residents when providing care.
Provides mouth care.
Dresses resident appropriately.
Grooms resident daily, including nail care.
Positions resident per PT/OT guidelines in wheelchair, bed, wedges etc.
Moves/positions resident a minimum of every two hours.
Checks/changes resident for incontinence a minimum of every two hours.
Checks residents' skin daily and reports any changes to charge nurse.
Feeds residents as assigned utilizing interventions specified in Care Plan.
Observes and reports to the Charge Nurse condition changes of residents as they occur
Provides Range of Motion for residents per PT/OT guidelines and schedules.
Applies splints, AFOs, etc. per PT/OT guidelines and schedules.
Completes rounds as assigned; checking residents a minimum of every hour to ensure their safety.
Maintains residents' environment in a clean, orderly fashion; cleans toys, equipment etc. per facility and infection control guidelines.

Nursing Station Clerks perform a wide variety of routine clerical duties in inpatient clinical settings where there is frequent contact with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary professionals. Incumbents of these positions greet visitors and direct them to appropriate locations; answer telephones; perform data entry activities; maintain daily and clinical logs; prepare, update, and maintain patient charts and files; fill out medication tickets and pharmacy requisitions; mail patient letters; and deliver supplies and records to an assigned unit.

Patient registration:

Job DescriptionDescription:
The Nurse Aide Instructor is responsible for providing comprehensive instruction to students enrolled in the Nurse Aide training program. This position involves teaching theoretical and practical skills required to prepare students for a career as CertifiedNurse Aides (CNAs), ensuring compliance with state regulations and industry standards. The instructor will support students' learning and professional development through lectures, hands-on demonstrations, and clinical supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Instruction:
Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans covering topics such as basic patient care, infection control, safety protocols, and communication skills.
Instruct students on the responsibilities and duties of a nurse aide, including ethical standards, legal issues, and workplace professionalism.
Practical Skills Training:
Conduct demonstrations and supervise hands-on practice in essential nursing aide skills, including patient hygiene, mobility assistance, taking vital signs, and medical documentation.
Provide one-on-one support to students during lab exercises to ensure skill proficiency.
Maintain classroom supplies
Clinical Supervision:
Supervise students during clinical rotations in approved healthcare settings, ensuring that they apply their classroom knowledge safely and effectively in real-world situations.
Monitor and evaluate student performance during clinical practice, offering constructive feedback.
Student Assessment and Evaluation:
Administer quizzes, exams, and practical skill assessments to measure student progress.
Provide regular feedback to students and maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and certification eligibility.
Monitor and record attendance, make up and grades in students SIS
Complete documentation as per school policy and educational laws established by BPSS
Maintain proper classroom decorum in accordance with school policy.
Program Development and Compliance:
Collaborate with the Director to develop and update curriculum , lesson plans, and syllabus to meet state guidelines and certification requirements.
Attend faculty meeting
Keep RN and teaching license up to date
Professional Development:
Stay current on healthcare trends, nursing best practices, and education techniques to provide students with up-to-date information and training.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting
Prior teaching or supervisory experience preferred, especially in a healthcare or vocational training setting.
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Knowledge of state requirements for Nurse Aide certification.
Working Conditions:
Classroom, lab, and clinical environments
Flexible hours may be required to accommodate clinical schedules.
