The Mortgage Banker position is included in a workplace model that allows remote work.
As a Mortgage Banker, essential responsibilities include:
* Develop and maintain internal and external relationships including realtors, brokers, builders and other centers of influence.
* Originate conventional, FHA, and VA mortgage loans as needed.
* Maintains pipeline to support activities including meeting production goals for both booked business and referrals.
* Works closely with loan processors and underwriters to expedite transactions.
* Provides constructive, consultative feedback and makes recommendations as a trusted advisor to clients and prospects.
* Cross sells and refers products and services identifying opportunities for products and services offered by the entire organization.
* Participates in bank promotions and will partner with Branch Staff to promote and develop a full-service financial services relationship for customers.
* Practices and Lives STAR's Sales and Customer Service Culture every day.
* Mentors and coaches staff within region on product and sales processes for mortgage lending.
* Maintains knowledge of all products offered and has a comprehensive understanding of the benefits and solutions provided by each product.
* Attend and participate in company meetings and training programs.
* Maintains activities and participation in community and/or social organizations. Serves as an ambassador for the bank.

Initiates and conducts interviews with all customers.
