JOB SUMMARY: This position involves professional level accounting work associated with daily disbursement functions through FLAIR and Ariba on Demand (AOD). This position will work with a team of accountants assigned to process the payments of assigned program areas along with vendor specific payments as assigned with limited supervision. * This position will be expected to process payments for more complex contracts, settlement agreements and to perform assigned research independently. Assist when supervisor is out. * This position is responsible for encumbered, unencumbered, and journal transfer payments. Process invoices timely and accurately for commodities/services for assigned purchase orders/contracts for a large program area. Ensure payments are processed in accordance with Florida Statutes, purchase order/contract requirements, DFS rules and regulations, and DOR policies and procedures. * Responsible for pre and post audit of daily vouchers schedules and approving AOD invoices to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with the Prompt Payment Law, Section 215.422, Florida Statutes; DFS rules and regulations; and DOR policies and procedures. * Perform monthly reconciliations of vendor encumbrances in accordance with Operational Accounting procedures. Ensure all supporting documentation required for a complete and accurate audit trail of all payments and/or adjustments is maintained.
