Steinhafels Furniture has an immediate opening for a WarehouseAssociate at our Waukesha Distribution Center. You will work together, with the rest of our team, to load semi trailers of our merchandise within the warehouse. The WarehouseAssociate position is also responsible for assisting customers with their order pick ups and loading merchandise into customer vehicles. This is a full time position and does require availability on either Saturday or Sunday.

Responsibilities
The WarehouseAssociate position requires frequent walking and bending. This position also requires the ability to lift furniture varying between 15lbs and 150lbs. Primary function is loading furniture in our delivery trucks and assisting customers in our merchandise pick up department. Other duties as assigned by management. Responsibilities
Primary Duties Include:
Furniture Assembly & Construction: Accurately and properly assembling furniture according to manufacturer specifications, ensuring all pieces are constructed safely and meet quality standards.
Furniture Movement: Frequent lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling of furniture, ensuring items are safely transported to designated areas on the showroom floor.
Customer Assistance: Assisting customers with merchandise pick-up, ensuring a smooth and efficient process, and offering excellent customer service throughout.
Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring proper tracking of products, and reporting any discrepancies or damaged items promptly.

Job Purpose
The purpose of this position is to use a forklift to receive and properly identify and verify the incoming COA, and incoming raw material paperwork for all plant raw materials and packaging. ABOUT THE ROLE
A WarehouseAssociate II will perform entry level warehouse operations including one or more of the following: shipping, receiving, material handling, inventory control, cycle counting, pop pick or will call. Responsible for all warehouse operations, as well as the upkeep and maintenance of the warehouse environment and equipment. WHAT YOU WILL DO
* The WarehouseAssociate is responsible for efficiently and accurately filling customer orders, receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping product in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, accuracy, and productivity.
* Prepare customer orders accurately and timely to meet daily production goals.
* Follow and commit to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service requirements.
* Prepare and pack goods for shipment.
* Report and record any discrepancy, damaged items, shortages, broken or unidentified packages to the supervisor.
* Operates machinery including forklift, pallet jack, and stock chaser.

Compensation Package:
Starting at $28.59
USD hourly + bonus eligibility + hourly pay differential for applicable shifts

Scheduled Days and Hours:
Sunday 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Monday to Wednesday 1:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Starting Pay Rate: $15.25 plus .50 cents shift differential plus $1.50 for all hours worked on Sundays. This facility has a Step Progression Plan. After 6 months, the hourly rate will increase to $16.00. After 12 months, the hourly rate will increase to $16.50 and to $17.00 after 18 months.

Our Merchandise Handlers are responsible for safely unloading merchandise from trailers, lifting cartons and product, and checking goods received against purchase orders or invoices. You are also responsible for loading cartons on pallets and other containers for outbound shipment. Stocking shelves with goods received while accurately maintaining records of goods received or shipped is also part of the job.
Position Description
Our Merchandise Handlers performs the following tasks safely with the customer in mind:
Loads and unloads merchandise from trailers
Lifts cartons and other items frequently
Selects and picks product for shipment to valued store members
Matches goods received with purchase orders and/or invoices using leading edge voice pick technology
Ensures accuracy of all goods handled through record verification matching inventory to order numbers
May operate power equipment including: forklifts, pallet handlers and hand trucks
May use small hand tools such as RF Scanners
Prepare merchandise for shipping using shrink wrap machines or other devices
Position Qualifications
High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience is preferred
Minimum 18 -years-old
Must be able to work overtime with little or no notice
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work all overtime hours
Must be able to stand and walk 8 or more hours per day (Average 5-10 miles per day)
