Maintain visitor center appearance: product descriptions, tasting notes, pricing, stocking shelves, stacks and coolers Assist in managing inventory, ordering, and weekly/monthly Cider House tasks. Manage and fulfill eCommerce merchandise platform. Follow all food safety guidelines including hand washing, sanitizing, cooling, heating, and storing of product to guard against contamination and assure that all products are safe for consumption. Follow all safety guidelines to ensure safe work practices are used at all times and to ensure that a safe working and shopping environment is maintained at all times. Pay: This position is part-time with the minimum and maximum starting range of $15.50-$16.29 per hour Hours: Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays Location: 222 Dorset St. South Burlington, VT Responsibilities: • Provides compassionate, genuine, patient and thoughtful service to customers through availability on the sales floor • Meticulously completes and takes ownership of daily tasks; following all department protocols and procedures and ensuring accuracy • Maintains consistent & clear communication with both guests and fellow staff • Completes research and assists in maintaining department informational materials and shares knowledge with guests and fellow staff • Provides assistance without ever diagnosing or offering medical advice to customers; remains professional yet sensitive towards health concerns • Ensure products are properly stocked, organized, and displayed according to signage and shelf tags • Continually organizes back stock to ensure all products lacking shelf space availability are organized and maintained • Receives vendor orders using inventory software throughout the day, and addresses all order errors and damages to supervisor/buyer immediately • Promptly removes all product from receiving • Product facing; ensures all product is pulled to the front of the shelves and has an organized appearance • Product maintenance; ensures all product has proper representation (signage) on the shelf; pulls out-of-date product; returns all damaged product to Receiving for credit and replaces discarded product to its proper home • Shelf tag and signage maintenance ensures that all shelf tags and signage are accurate and communicates needs to the buyer/supervisor • Knowledgeable and aware of monthly sales as well as changing displays to ensure they are well maintained and stocked • Meticulously maintains cleanliness and organization of shelving and back stock areas • Goes the extra mile for guests and maintains the highest standards of courteous, professional guest service and sensitivity to guest's needs • Attends all required meetings, trainings, seminars and workshops • Stays passionate, educated and informed regarding new products and industry trends.
