Job DescriptionDescription:
The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for a variety of inventory management tasks related to the accurate and timely intake and processing of shipments and daily picks of all raw materials, including frozen, dry, and wet goods, as well as packaging, in the York Production Warehouse. This position is a second-level position, above Warehouse Associate; a candidate may either “level up” from that position upon successful meeting of criteria or may be a direct hire from outside SWK with suitable prior experience with the work listed below.
Key Responsibilities:
1. This position is a second-level position above Warehouse Responsible for the timely and accurate receipt and put-away of all inbound materials and packaging to the Warehouse.
2. Responsible for daily material picks, as indicated by Warehouse Management System, Navision, and other planning tools within York Warehouse.
3. Communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external customers.
4. Make all systematic entries associated with physical transactions of goods in Warehouse Management System in an accurate and timely manner.
5. Store all materials at all times in accordance with rules around Food Safety, Personnel Safety, and GMPs.
6. Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) as needed and appropriate, following established safety procedures.
7. As needed, train new staff in this position or Warehouse Associate position on Warehouse systems, practices, procedures, and guidelines.
8. Prepare daily and/or as-needed reports for upcoming inbound freight and/or daily picks under the guidance of the Warehouse Supervisor.
9. Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout shift and at the end of the shift.
10. Report any conditions that need attention to appropriate department (e.g. Operations, Distribution, Maintenance, Human Resources).
11. Perform other job duties as required or assigned
Requirements:
High school education or equivalent.
Proficient in MS applications (Excel, Word Outlook) and demonstrate a willingness to learn new systems.
Must have experience with electrical and manual pallet jacks and fork lifts.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and to stand for several hours at a time.
Strong attention to detail.

New Balance's Cutting positions perform a variety of machine operations in our shoe manufacturing process. Check specifications to ensure that the proper cutting instructions are followed as to size and width. These machines include centerless grinders, long stroke gun drill machines, and hone machines. Review samples, drawings and instructions to understand specifications of output
Understand basic shop math and take measurements to ensure compliance to the customer print.

Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
