Must be able to perform work wearing personnel protective equipment. Including but not limited to the following: rain gear, chemical protective clothing, supplied air and air purifying respirators, safety harness, sand blast hoods, fire resistant coveralls, hard hat, ear plugs and safety glasses. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body, able to reach overhead, able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; work at heights; balance for extended periods of time. Position Overview We are seeking an Electrician Apprentice III to join our team. The Electrician Apprentice III advances their expertise in electrical systems, building upon previous apprenticeship experience. This role requires an increasing level of competency in installations, troubleshooting, and conduit work while working closely with experienced electricians in commercial and industrial settings. Key Responsibilities * Identifies and organizes all materials used in the electrical trade. * Executes underground installations, adhering to provided specifications. * Performs rough-in electrical installations with minimal supervision, ensuring proper use of tools and equipment. * Demonstrates advanced skills in hand bending EMT, with some proficiency in using mechanical and table benders for larger conduit. * Assists in panel interior installation and pulling feeders within one-line systems. * Contributes to branch power system installations, including disconnects, homerun installations, terminations, branch circuit pulling, and fuse applications. * Supports journeyman electricians as needed, gaining hands-on experience in complex tasks. * Interprets blueprints, schematics, and layout drawings to ensure accurate installations. * Maintains a clean and safe work environment while adhering to all safety protocols and regulations. * Adheres to company tool policies, demonstrating responsibility for tool investment and upkeep. Qualifications Minimum: * High school diploma or GED. * Two (2) years of prior experience in commercial electrical installation. * Enrollment in or willingness to join an accredited electrical apprenticeship program. * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred: * Familiarity with larger conduit bending techniques and mechanical/hydraulic benders. * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative. * Experience assisting in panel interior installation and system terminations. OR an equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience that results in the successful performance of the job. Additional education may substitute for required experience on a one-for-one year basis or vice versa. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Knowledge of electrical components, materials, and intermediate electrical codes. * Knowledge of conduit bending techniques, underground electrical systems, and troubleshooting methods. * Skill in using electrical hand tools, power tools, and mechanical conduit bending equipment. * Ability to execute rough-in installations and panel wiring with minimal supervision. * Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and layout drawings. * Ability to lift and transport heavy materials, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks. * Ability to communicate effectively with team members and follow complex instructions.
