Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform electrical support, maintenance, and repair of exhibits, equipment and facilities Conduct preventative maintenance on electrical and electronic equipment Install temporary power systems for events Study blueprints and schematics and determine methods, materials, and equipment needed to complete assignments Mentor and train electrical apprentice(s) Purchase and order electrical supplies and parts from vendors Install lighting fixtures, power outlets, control devices, heaters, and thermostats Run conduit and pull wire for new or existing electrical installations Replace fuses and change lamps in florescent, mercury vapor, and incandescent lighting fixtures Assist with troubleshooting, repairs and construction projects as needed Coordinate with outside contractors on electrical portions of design, development and construction Test installations to check and ensure continuity of the circuit, and the compatibility and safety of all components using appropriate test equipment Inspect and evaluate electrical equipment to ensure that it operates efficiently and safely; determine whether equipment and new installations meet requirements of the National Electrical Code (NEC) Clean and maintain tools and perform routine maintenance on special equipment Maintain clean and safe work environment Utilize CMMS work order system for work scheduling, preventative maintenance programs and record keeping Assist where needed in inter-departmental projects and functions Perform other related duties and responsibilities (as appropriate to skill level and experience) assigned Have regular and punctual attendance Work modified schedule as needed and determined by management Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     **Job Title: Electrical Controls Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Electrical Controls Technician who is adept at interpreting drawings, blueprints, and following diagrams of circuits and wiring. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of schematic and electrical code specifications to layout and fabricate industrial electrical equipment enclosures. **Responsibilities** + Interpret and follow electrical drawings, blueprints, and circuit diagrams. + Understand schematic and electrical code specifications for fabricating industrial electrical equipment enclosures. + Determine wire type, quantity, and size; measure, cut, and pull wires into appropriately sized conduit. + Install and wire switchgear, switchboards, panel boards, transformers, and control panels. + Test equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance. + Maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors, variable speed drives, generators, and industrial hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems. + Install and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices. + Troubleshoot and repair industrial, electrical, and electronic control systems and other related devices. **Essential Skills** + In-depth knowledge of NFPA-70 Industrial Electrical code. + Ability to run conduit, wire, and terminations. + Proficiency in reading electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints. + Understanding of electrical codes, wire sizing, and conduit running. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + A Journeyman or Master License is highly advantageous but not mandatory. **Why Work Here?** Join a family-owned company with an outstanding reputation, where 77% of your medical expenses are covered, and a 3% IRA match is offered. The work schedule is from 7:00 am to 5:45 pm Monday to Thursday, and 7:00 am to 3:45 pm on Fridays, with overtime opportunities on Saturdays and during busy seasons, reaching up to 65-70 hours per week. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Georgetown, SC. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $30.00/hr.
