POSITION DESCRIPTION: Pyxera Global invites highly motivated recently graduated undergraduates to apply for a paid internship supporting our Programs Department. This is a hybrid role, requiring 20-40 hours per week with a combination of in-office time at our Washington, DC headquarters and remote. We are ONLY considering candidates who: Will have obtained a Bachelors degree by May 2026 or equivalent combination of education and experience Have less than one year of full-time work experience, and Follow the application instructions outlined in this post. They may also be asked to assist in business development activities, including monitoring opportunities across client/funder organizations and conducting research. Our program structure: Our externships are flexible-they can range from two to eight weeks during the year, according to your college curriculum - but are typically two or three weeks in length.     The D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center, an independent nonprofit organization, seeks a law student interested in civil legal services for a legal externship position in Spring 2026. The Pro Bono Center transforms lives by providing free legal assistance to individuals, nonprofit organizations, and small businesses through volunteer lawyers. Established in 1978, the Pro Bono Center has become the largest provider of pro bono legal help in the District of Columbia. This position will support the Advocacy and Justice Clinic (“A&J Clinic)”, which is the full representation litigation program. This position will be supervised by an attorney in the Advocacy & Justice Center. The legal extern must be enrolled in a for-credit externship program. The Mental Health Intern works under the supervision of the Senior Mental Health Manager. Intern applicants must be in graduate-level Clinical Mental Health, School Counseling, and Marriage and Family Therapy programs. Clinical Supervision from a licensed professional will be provided on staff. During the internship, the Mental Health Intern will have the opportunity to design and implement a project of their choosing, which could range from creating new mental health resources for Scholars to designing elements of programs, etc. Clinical Mental Health Interns will work a flexible schedule. Generation Hope operates on a hybrid schedule; with two days in the office per week. The Mental Health Intern will need to have transportation to be able to meet with Scholars and participate in mental health events. Candidates must be able to participate in this internship at least 15 hours weekly; candidates who have later afternoon and evening availability are preferred. Start and end dates are flexible; ideal candidates will be available January 2026-December 2026 and are also able to commit to the internship for their Practicum, Internship I and II semesters. Duties Provide supervised direct services to Generation Hope Scholars (and/or Alumni) and their families in accordance with their psychological needs, developmental abilities, and individualized treatment plans; including individual sessions, family sessions, couples sessions, group sessions and psychoeducation workshops.
