Responsibilities
Provide customer service and technical support to i3 Team Members; local and remote users as required via phone, e-mail, online systems, and in person. Follow-up with users until issues are resolved.
Determine and provide best solutions to issues based on details provided; keeping in mind industry best practices and required security standards.
Assist in answering incoming calls, respond to customer requests for service, troubleshoot problems and help develop solutions
Follow up with customers on ticket status, next steps, progress, and resolution
Assist the help desk team in everyday technical responsibilities.
Appropriately record events, problems, and their resolution.
Experience hands on work experience in support of on-going projects.

Bank Independent Intern
Summer 2026 Internship: May 18th - August 7th
Internships at Bank Independent offer hands-on experience to college students in their field of study and an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of banking. The internship program includes a 12-16-week job study that highlights banking processes specific to the placement and how they interrelate. As an intern, you will work alongside experienced bankers who can offer insights to help you better understand the financial services industry. Each intern will contribute to a department within the bank while also having opportunities to shadow other departments. Bank Independent is a full-service community bank offering Relationship Banking, Treasury Solutions Business Banking and Wealth Management Services with over 30 locations in Northwest Alabama.
The intern will be expected to display a positive attitude and flexibility in accepting varied work assignments. The employee has access to extremely sensitive information and confidential data and is expected to exercise professionalism and confidentiality in all relevant matters.
Variety of Departments
Accounting, IT, Audit, Business Intelligence, Credit, Learning & Development, Marketing, Project Management, Human Resources, Security, Sales Office
Working Conditions
Generally good, with little exposure to noise, extreme temperatures, dust or other adverse factors
Considerable effort and eyestrain from continued checking on the accuracy of all work leaving the department
Minimum Level of Preparation and Training
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must be active junior or senior college student in desired or related department
Accounting, Business, Finance, Marketing, Psychology, or Education, major preferred; open to all majors
Needs to be able to work in person up to 30 hours per week, have hours of availability between Monday-Friday 8:00 am.-5:00 pm
