Global Sourcing Intern Position Summary
The Global Sourcing Intern will work directly with Sourcing personnel at all levels within Oatey's org structure. Time will be divided between Direct Sourcing and Indirect Sourcing activities and projects. While working in this role the individual will be expected to communicate effectively in person, through email and over the phone, interacting with suppliers as well as internal stakeholders. The position is designed to support negotiations, supplier management and cost savings projects. These activities will provide exposure to all functional departments within Oatey and give the individual a thorough overview of the Sourcing function.
Expectations & Accountabilities…
Support administrative tasks including, but not limited to, New Item Set-up Sheets, Quality Feedback management, Trade Agreements updates, Purchase requisition support and Purchase Order creation
Collect and analyze spend data that will be used to help Sourcing improve reporting
Organize data for Direct and Indirect RFQ projects
Review Direct and Indirect Sourcing processes and recommend opportunities for improvement
Other duties as assigned

OVERVIEW

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Interns may be assigned various duties and responsibilities depending on organizational, program and location needs that may include:
• Assisting Case Mangers with file maintenance by updating case management systems, reporting databases, and physical files; maintain confidentiality of information
• Communicating client needs to Case Managers and assisting with timely delivery of services.
• Collaborating with Case Manager and other staff personnel to confirm appropriate services are in place.
• Assisting with administrative and operation tasks specific to the assigned department, program or location
• Helping delivers culturally and linguistically appropriate support to clients; and
• Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor.
