Part time To advance the purpose of InterVarsity, this position is focused on learning the basics of college campus ministry. This position is limited to students who are currently enrolled in a four-year or community college. Second year students and students enrolled at a community college may intern at a two-year/community college. Third year students and higher can work at a four-year or community college. Non-InterVarsity students who attend a Christian college must have third or fourth year standing.

Learn to guide chapters (or assigned segments of a chapter) in the development of strategic thinking regarding witness to the university
Learn to model and assist students and faculty in growing in their love for God's people of every ethnicity and culture
Encourage a prayerful lifestyle in students, especially focusing on those who do not yet follow Jesus as Lord and Savior
Engage positively with the supervision and training you receive from your staff ministry trainer and/or director

Pay Range: $31,320.00 - $41,772.00 per year
Pay: This position is funded through personal fundraising. Accordingly, compensation will vary based on the ability of the individual to secure a donor team to fund the cost of his/her salary. The anticipated salary range for this position on a full-time basis (40 hours/week) is dependent on a variety of factors, including location and cost of living. The actual salary received, including any geographic adjustment to account for location and cost of living, is subject to the individual's ability to raise funds necessary to cover the full amount of such salary within the range set forth in the job posting details.

This internship will help those aspiring to enter the field develop skills in time management, communication, guest presentations, and teamwork. The position will also be responsible for adhering to all aquarium safety protocols, standard operating procedures, Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and International Marine Animal Trainer Association (IMATA) accreditation standards. The goal is to help interns succeed professionally in any chosen field. INTERNSHIP LAYOUT This unpaid internship is progressive and is 16 weeks in length, requiring a commitment of 2-3 consistent days per week. Due to the nature of a progressive internship, a commitment of 16 weeks is required. This will ensure the best experience and career preparation. Our internship is divided into 5 tiers, each concentrating on a different aspect of African penguin care while continuing to build on the intern's responsibilities:
Tier 1: Introduction to Animal Husbandry and African Penguins

The Assistant Technician will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Assist in radiography and other nondestructive testing operations to ensure a quality and safe work product is obtained.
Assist in setting up and operating equipment for NDT inspections.
Assist in the interpretation of radiographic images under the supervision of a qualified radiographer.
Assist with preparation of inspection records.
Assist with maintaining equipment and ensure its proper functioning.
Communicate effectively with team members and operations management.
Follow and adhere to industrial radiation procedures set forth by the company, state, and federal governing bodies.
Maintain and control safe work practices set forth by the company, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications
Required Qualification(s)
Required to pass a 40 Hour Industrial Radiography Course (if not already obtained).

Able to pass FBI background verification in accordance with Company's Increased Controls program.
