TITLE Assistant Director, Internships & Experiential Learning The Assistant Director, Internships & Experiential Learning provides leadership and coordination in developing, implementing and evaluating student internships and the experiential learning program for TWU. The Assistant Director serves as the point of contact for department internship supervisors or coordinators, maintains a clearinghouse of internship and experiential learning opportunities, evaluations, and assessment data in support of internships and experiential learning. The Assistant Director plans and conducts workshops and promotes internships & experiential learning institution-wide. Student Success Coach Intern helps students identify barriers to academic success and assist them in creating action plans for overcoming those challenges. Student Success Coach helps students maximize their potential for academic success by supporting them holistically and by assisting them in gaining effective strategies and behaviors to enable them to persist from semester to semester. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Work collaboratively with the Academic Advisor and Academic Coach to respond to academic alerts, manage cases, and assist with other caseload campaigns and interventions for a specific population of students Work one-on-one with students to identify and overcome barriers to their academic success Facilitate workshops that cover such topics as study skills, test-taking strategies, time management, and procrastination to improve academic success and retention. Serve as an academic coach for a cohort of undergraduate students Meet with students one-on-one to assess current practices and create success plans Provide individualized outreach to students based on identified risk factors including academic and socio-emotional Assist in the design and facilitation of interventions and programs aimed at facilitating success in college Generate reports and utilize data to discern patterns of success/difficulty and design strategic interventions Demonstrate effective academic success strategies and provide accountability partnerships Identify student needs and escalate or refer to other campus departments when appropriate Partner and work cooperatively with other departments on campus such as Academic Success Experience course ( ASE ), Ram Rebound course and Residence Life.

The primary purpose of our Veterinary Student Externship is to provide a hands-on learning experience for 3rd and 4th year students who are enrolled in a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program. The program is typically scheduled for 2-week blocks at our hospital. We feel that the students who possess an open mind and a willingness to learn will benefit the most from our externship. Key Responsibilities The Veterinary Student Extern is responsible for performing inpatient and outpatient medical care under the direct supervision of our veterinary staff.
