Complete payroll reconciliation per Sunrise internal business controls.
Process and manage unemployment and worker's compensation claims and update claim activity as necessary.
Clearly communicate and convey information and ideas through a variety of messages that engages the audience.
Champion the team member on-boarding and welcome orientation process, maintain personnel files and binders according to applicable federal, state, local laws and regulations/provincial labor/labour laws, and Sunrise policy.
Partner with leadership team by championing the overall recruitment process; process candidates in the ATS system and perform background screenings, license verifications, and other required screenings/verifications per applicable federal and state laws/provincial labor/labour laws and Sunrise policy.
Maintain training compliance and records and performance appraisal records and perform ongoing data entry into the Sunrise University portal.
Information Monitoring, Process, and Systems
Set up ongoing procedures to collect and review information needed to assist in billing and accounting support services to meet business performance results, deadlines, and reporting.
Perform business processes in the following technology systems:
Billing system.
Time keeping management system.
Recruitment Applicant Tracking System.
Financial System Close and Management
Understand and utilize financial data and tools to accurately reflect the business performance.
Follow monthly accounting calendar and scheduled tasks to ensure all financial data expectations and deadlines are met.
Business Processes - Key Controls
Ensure business controls are followed with company policy and completed for each business area.
Assist in providing audit materials and information as requested.
Meet business process deadlines consistently.
Execute business processes to ensure completeness and consistency in compliance to standard operating procedures (SOP).
Maintain and organize audit materials and information for audit review.
Complete and verify accuracy of payroll and census reconciliation and email to Regional Business Manager by deadline.
Quality Assurance & Safety
Focus on Resident Centered Care and quality.
Develop a thorough working knowledge of current and evolving federal, state/provincial laws and regulations/provincial labor/labour laws, and policies for business controls and compliance.
Review, read, notate, and initial Daily Log to document and learn about pertinent information.
Partner with community team to ensure community is in compliance with national/provincial regulations pertaining to occupational health and safety and promoting Risk Management programs and policies and adhering to safety rules and regulations.
Practice safety procedures at all times including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire extinguishers, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and Lockout Tagout.
Financial Management
Assist in the presentation and value of Sunrise's products and services for our residents, families, team members, and targeted referral sources.
Assist the Executive Director (ED) in completing the annual community budget.
Understand and manage the department budget to include labor/labour and other expenses and its impact on the community's bottom line.
Assist with review of monthly financial statements.
Process and submit monthly expenses and budget data timely per Sunrise policies and internal business controls.
Coordinate with the community team to achieve maximum staff economies and cross training when applicable.
Training, Leadership and Team Member Development
Partner in the delivery and participation in Sunrise University Training and self-study programs during the required timeframe.
Develop a working knowledge of state regulation/provincial labor/labour laws and ensures compliance through supervising and coaching team members.
Achieve the Team Member Engagement goals and actively lead in the Engagement Improvement Planning sessions.
Assist with team member staffing and scheduling according to operational and budgetary guidelines.
Ensure daily review of timekeeping practices and payroll reports.
Coordinate the community performance appraisal process and reporting.
Hold team accountable and correct actions when necessary and document for record keeping.
Attend regular meetings; Stand Up, Cross Over, Department Head, Town Hall, Quality Improvement, and others as directed by the ED.
Keep abreast of professional developments in the field by reading and attending conferences and training sessions.
Maintain compliance in assigned required training and all training required by state/province or other regulating authorities as applicable to this role to ensure that Sunrise standards are always met.

**Medication Administration**
+ Provide the highest degree of quality care and services by administering medication and treatments in a safe organized manner.
+ Review, read, notate, and initial the electronic health record to document and learn about pertinent information about residents.
+ Receive medication updates from Resident Care Director (RCD) or Wellness Nurse.
+ Administer, assist with, and observe medications and treatments for each resident using the medication administration record and the Six Rights of Medication Pass ("Right" resident, medication, dosage, time, route, right to refuse).
+ Ensure that medications are passed according to times and utilizing the mobile med cart.
+ Document and initial as medications are given and ensure that appropriate documentation is completed for refusal or missed doses.
+ Maintain confidentiality of all resident information including resident medication among other residents.
+ Report all resident concerns and unavailable medications, made while administering the medication, to the RCD or Wellness Nurse.
+ Restock medication cart after all medication passes.
+ Assist in checking medication regardless of packaging system.
+ Assess the residents to determine need for "as needed medication" and appropriately document and report to supervisor.
+ Count all narcotics with another Medication Care Manager (MCM) or Lead Care Manager (LCM) each shift and report discrepancies.
+ Maintain and clean the Medication Room, medication carts, and treatment carts for neatness, cleanliness, availability of medications, and expired medications.
+ Follow re-fill process for medications and notify RCD or Wellness Nurse if a new prescription is needed.
+ Help residents maintain independence and promote dignity and physical safety of each resident adhering to the Sunrise Principles of Service.
+ Strive to understand and respond to each resident with empathy, always remaining mindful of the resident's unique communication patterns, history, and basic human needs.
+ Practice routinely good standard care precautions of cleanliness, hygiene, and health.
**Resident Care Communications**
+ Notify RCD of any resident and/or family concerns.
+ Attend and actively participates in daily Cross Over meetings facilitated by the LCM.
+ Participate in the development of the Individualized Service Plans (ISP).
**Risk Management and General Safety**
+ Partner with community team to ensure community is in compliance with national/provincial regulations pertaining to occupational health and safety requirements, promoting Risk Management programs and policies, and adhering to safety rules and regulations.
+ Practice safety procedures at all times including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire extinguishers, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and Lockout Tagout procedures.
+ Report all accidents/incidents immediately.
+ Report all unsafe and hazardous conditions/equipment immediately.
+ Ensure any cords, carts, equipment, and other hazards are always kept out of the way, not blocking exits and in compliance with fire codes.
+ Comply with all infection control techniques, placement of bio-hazard containers, removal techniques, procedures, and policies.
+ Understand and practice the proper method of attending to and disposing of, and the possibility of exposure to, blood borne pathogens, bodily fluids, infectious waste, sharp sticks, and hazardous materials.
+ Report occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, sharp sticks and hazardous chemicals immediately.
+ Ensure oxygen tanks are stored safely, exchange guest/resident's tanks when empty, and monitor to make sure liters of oxygen are at prescribed levels.

The Medication Care Manager is responsible for providing the highest degree of quality care and services by administering medication and treatments in a safe organized manner. RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS
Essential Duties

Medication Administration
* Provide the highest degree of quality care and services by administering medication and treatments in a safe organized manner.
* Review, read, notate, and initial the electronic health record to document and learn about pertinent information about residents.
* Receive medication updates from Resident Care Director (RCD) or Wellness Nurse.
* Administer, assist with, and observe medications and treatments for each resident using the medication administration record and the Six Rights of Medication Pass ("Right" resident, medication, dosage, time, route, right to refuse).
* Ensure that medications are passed according to times and utilizing the mobile med cart.
* Document and initial as medications are given and ensure that appropriate documentation is completed for refusal or missed doses.
* Maintain confidentiality of all resident information including resident medication among other residents.
* Report all resident concerns and unavailable medications, made while administering the medication, to the RCD or Wellness Nurse.
* Restock medication cart after all medication passes.
* Assist in checking medication regardless of packaging system.
* Assess the residents to determine need for "as needed medication" and appropriately document and report to supervisor.
* Count all narcotics with another Medication Care Manager (MCM) or Lead Care Manager (LCM) each shift and report discrepancies.
* Maintain and clean the Medication Room, medication carts, and treatment carts for neatness, cleanliness, availability of medications, and expired medications.
* Follow re-fill process for medications and notify RCD or Wellness Nurse if a new prescription is needed.
* Help residents maintain independence and promote dignity and physical safety of each resident adhering to the Sunrise Principles of Service.
* Strive to understand and respond to each resident with empathy, always remaining mindful of the resident's unique communication patterns, history, and basic human needs.
* Practice routinely good standard care precautions of cleanliness, hygiene, and health.
Resident Care Communications
* Notify RCD of any resident and/or family concerns.
* Attend and actively participates in daily Cross Over meetings facilitated by the LCM.
* Participate in the development of the Individualized Service Plans (ISP).
Risk Management and General Safety
* Partner with community team to ensure community is in compliance with national/provincial regulations pertaining to occupational health and safety requirements, promoting Risk Management programs and policies, and adhering to safety rules and regulations.
* Practice safety procedures at all times including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire extinguishers, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and Lockout Tagout procedures.
* Report all accidents/incidents immediately.
* Report all unsafe and hazardous conditions/equipment immediately.
* Ensure any cords, carts, equipment, and other hazards are always kept out of the way, not blocking exits and in compliance with fire codes.
* Comply with all infection control techniques, placement of bio-hazard containers, removal techniques, procedures, and policies.
* Understand and practice the proper method of attending to and disposing of, and the possibility of exposure to, blood borne pathogens, bodily fluids, infectious waste, sharp sticks, and hazardous materials.
* Report occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, sharp sticks and hazardous chemicals immediately.
* Ensure oxygen tanks are stored safely, exchange guest/resident's tanks when empty, and monitor to make sure liters of oxygen are at prescribed levels.
Training and Contributing to Team Success
* Participate as a member of a team and commit to working toward team goals.

* Attend regular training by RCD and neighborhood coordinators.
* Maintain compliance in assigned required training and all training required by state/province or other regulating authorities as applicable to this role to ensure that Sunrise standards are always met.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Identify on-going needs and services of residents in promotion of the highest quality resident services to be delivered.
Ensure proper follow through and participate with evaluation and documentation for residents with a change in health care services and status.
Assist Resident Care Director (RCD) in conducting resident evaluations and data gathers information at time of move in, 30 days post move in, semi-annually, and with any change in status.
Conduct monthly wellness visits for all residents.
Monitor and follow up with residents who have experienced any fall, accident, or incident and document and report as required and directed.
Document all pertinent information in the resident wellness file.
Maintain communications with resident's family and or responsible party to ensure medical needs for the resident are being met.
Contact resident's attending physician when necessary and/or upon family request.
Ensure weights and vital signs are obtained monthly for each resident.
Assist in maintaining wellness files according to Sunrise policies and federal and state/provincial regulations.
