We are looking for a Sr. Technical Program Manager to join our team in one of today's most exciting technologies. This role will report to Sr Director Program Management and based in San Jose, CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role 5 days a week. Role & Responsibilities: Provide overall program management essential to ensure successful delivery of key programs to achieve Bloom Energy's business plan objectives Own program schedule, budget, and ensure the product achieves agreed upon feature set Work closely with highly cross-functional team members on product definition, schedules, prioritizations, tradeoffs, etc. Regularly present status, track budget, communicate high-level timelines, and manage risk and resource constraints across teams to ensure success Guide team members through complete product lifecycle development; successfully hand-off a “sellable” product to Sales and a “manufacture ready” product to Operations Accountable for program risks identification and developing mitigation strategies and actions Educate the broader organization on Bloom's PLC process and establish a general understanding at all levels Be the “go to” person for all questions and/or requests related to specific programs Qualifications: 10+ years technical program management experience with large complex products, experience in the energy sector a plus Proven track record driving programs throughout the complete product lifecycle process Extremely strong presence, ability to lead and manage cross functional and matrixed teams along with demonstrated ability to influence others Excellent communication skills - both oral and written Experience managing/working with engineering professionals Outstanding interpersonal skills, for collaborating across many participating teams. You will interact with many internal teams to lead and deliver best-in-class products in an exciting fast-paced environment Strong desire for success and significance Desired Qualifications: Strong analytical and financial skills. The Technical Project Manager is the principal owner of large‑scale project execution, leading initiatives from mid‑stage development through commercial operation. This highly visible role partners cross‑functionally across Bloom Energy and serves as a key interface with Fortune 50 customers and strategic vendors. The position leads multiple technical leaders and external partners to deliver fully turnkey unit operations, ensuring projects are executed on time, within scope, and to Bloom Energy's quality standards. The role also provides technical guidance to Sales and Origination teams during early‑stage project development and contributes to new product development efforts. Role and Responsibilities: Principal responsible and accountable for solid oxide fuel cell energy development programs from mid-stage development to commercial operation requiring direct and/or indirect management of the following: Project budget and schedule creation and execution Project design process optimized for cost, quality, and minimal customer disruption Design and construction contract negotiation and fulfillment Management of internal technical resources both within the installations department and within Product Development. Construction and project documentation completion to meet all technical and governmental standards Contribute to the success of Bloom Energy's long-term process improvement efforts Ensure exemplary safety and execution performance through specific metrics during site construction and commissioning Ensure that Bloom Energy customers are 100% satisfied with both the product and the development experience Deliver presentations confidently to all project stakeholders, and sell new ideas to Bloom Energy senior leadership and its customer base 25-35% travel Skills and Experience: 8+ years of project management experience required; 2+ years of distributed energy, Carbon Capture or Centralized Desulphurization experience strongly preferred. Candidate experience must include management of multiple, schedule constrained, large capital projects with multiple contractors. Project management experience should include management of budgets, schedules, design contracts, and construction contracts.
