**Responsibilities**
+ Oversees engineers performing diagnostics, monitoring and inspecting equipment, and reviewing grid technologies, building relationships to facilitate cross-functional knowledge transfer of related work groups
+ Leads the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and other documentation to communicate project status, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders
+ Collaborate and lead with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless development, integration and implementation of future technologies and asset performance management strategies
+ Assists in a variety of engineering and business initiatives and grid strategies, including development of innovative procedures and design recommendations
+ Provides support for new equipment installation and startup, then leads the hand over processes to the ramp and sustaining phases
+ Leads junior engineers in investigation of threats on the distribution system infrastructure based on observations and findings
+ Gathers and correlates basic data using engineering studies and procedures, which may include routine and diagnostic testing of components and systems

**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Bachelor's Degree in a scientific/technical/math field.
+ Seven or more years of experience performing engineering work in operations, production, construction or maintenance environments.
+ Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Expertise in major substation apparatus such as transformers, circuit breakers, solid and gas insulated switchgear, battery energy storage system, rapid earth fault current limiter (REFCL) systems
+ Familiarity with industry standards including IEEE and IEC.
+ Experience with system studies and software such as CDEGS and PSCAD
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Effective communication and leadership abilities to represent SCE at technical committees and coordinate with cross-functional teams
