About The Role

Key Responsibilities
Planning & Material Management
Plan demand and supply for raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished products sourced from contract manufacturers and overseas partners.
Lead material planning, production scheduling, and inventory optimization across the facility.
Define and implement best-practice planning processes to improve accuracy, responsiveness, and operational efficiency.
Serve as a liaison between New Jersey procurement and Asia factories to support material movement and execution.
Purchasing & Supplier Strategy
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers, implementing annual cost-reduction plans while maintaining quality and reliability.
Collaborate with R&D to develop NPI sourcing strategies, alternate sourcing for long-lead items, and cost estimations.
Develop and execute cost-reduction and risk-mitigation strategies related to pricing, delivery, and contractual obligations.
Identify and qualify new contract manufacturers; participate in supplier selection and onboarding.
Establish Purchasing and Logistics KPIs, including inventory valuation and Purchase Price Variance (PPV).
Drive cost-reduction initiatives at the product level in partnership with Engineering and the Asian Supply Chain partner.
ERP Transformation & Digital Operations
Lead the transition from legacy, Excel-based processes to a fully integrated SAP ERP/S/4HANA system.
Implement, configure, and optimize ERP modules related to planning, purchasing, inventory, and production.
Drive digital transformation initiatives including ERP upgrades, automation, and data analytics.
Train and support cross-functional teams to ensure strong adoption and effective system utilization.
Develop standardized processes, data structures, and reporting tools to enable real-time visibility and decision-making.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Lead the supply chain team to excel in procurement, material planning, and execution, serving as the liaison between procurement and Asian factories for material movement.
Partner with Engineering and Asia Supply Chain teams to drive product-level cost-reduction initiatives.
Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance to support NPI, cost reduction, and continuous improvement programs.

Qualifications
10+ years of sourcing or supply chain experience with electromechanical components and EMS supply chains.
Success as a Supply Chain Subject Matter Expert.
Proficient understanding of ERP systems; familiarity with SAP ERP and S/4HANA required.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and strong logical data analysis skills.
Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of supplier performance improvement.
Expertise in supply chain risk-minimization strategies (e.g., VMI, Kanban, dual sourcing).
Ability to interpret engineering BOMs and technical drawings.
ASCM or ISM certifications are a plus.
Understanding of international shipments, customs, and global logistics.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels and functions.

Summary
This position will be responsible for management of sourcing activities and suppliers across Cryopreservation Centers, Direct Materials for Lentivirus and CAR-T manufacturing, and Strategic Services for the Advanced Therapies platform. Collaborating closely with Supply Chain Procurement, External manufacturing, planning, quality, MSAT and other key business partners to build new product competence, this role will ensure timely delivery of external partner value and execution in support of pre & post launch Advanced Therapies product and NPI's. Taking an end-to-end approach across Procurement categories to build and carry-out coordinated project plans, with cost competitiveness, and resilient supply strategies while building vital competencies will be critical success factors. This individual will support identification, development, and implementation of procurement goals and strategy for Advanced Therapies in order to deliver against organizational targets for reliable supply, financial performance, quality, and compliance adherence. They will drive key relationships within the business, support key supplier relationships with the Procurement categories, and identify and develop key capabilities and subject matter expertise associated with new and future-orientated business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead or supports sourcing initiatives to identify the right supplier partners and build adequate material capacities to support the advanced therapies' business.
Influence business decision-making to deliver ongoing value improvements and drive competitive advantage.
Proactively engages business partners and/or category leaders to identify their needs and incorporate those needs into targeted strategies.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of business needs and external market trends to support the development of robust new product sourcing strategies.
Develop innovative and sustainable solutions to identify and mitigate risk, drive long-term, end-to-end value, and achieve unmet business needs. Identifies and pursues opportunities to develop supplier capabilities.
Mitigate business risk through the understanding of commercial, legal, and regulatory requirements and the use of efficient contracting channels demonstrating standard processes and technology.
Act as procurement authority in support to cross material category specific or cross category initiatives (may include Chemicals, EM, Packaging, Devices, Sterilization, direct and indirect services)
Represent procurement in End-to-End supply chain initiatives of manufacturing network, digital tools/ technology adoption, and resiliency.
Qualifications
Education:
A Bachelor's degree is required with a preference of study in business or technical/ engineering
MBA is preferred
Experience and Skills:
Required:
A minimum 8 years of relevant work experience
Demonstrated skills in Strategic Procurement, Sourcing, Category, and SupplierManagement, preferably in the Supply Chain Environment
Strong partner management skills working with cross category, supply chain and other functional partners.

The Manager, CAR-T Batch Logistics will be responsible for managing cross-functional teams to ensure smooth, timely and compliant batch release operations. The Inventory Control Manager will oversee all aspects of inventory operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across multiple facilities and partners. This role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to manage high‑volume inventory movement with co‑manufacturers, co‑packers, 3PLs, and ecommerce platforms such as Amazon.

Oversee receipts of finished goods, components, and raw materials, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Coordinate with vendors, shippers, and internal departments (Supply Chain, Accounts Payable, Warehouse, QA/QC) to resolve discrepancies.
Lead monthly reconciliation of inventory.

Drive cost reduction initiatives at the product level in partnership with our Engineering and Asia Supply Chain partners.
Identify and develop new sources for contract manufacturing and participate in the supplier selection process.
Lead the supply chain team to excel in material planning, execution, and serve as a liaison between HB procurement and Asia factories for material movement.
Oversee hands-on procurement, material, and production planning, including direct team management at the High Bridge facility.
Monitor and reduce inventory levels at the High Bridge warehouse through JIT, Kanban, and VMI agreements.
Establish Purchasing and Logistics KPIs, including inventory valuation and Purchase Price Variance (PPV).
Lead digital transformation initiatives (ERP upgrades, automation, data analytics)
Define and implement best practices for various planning processes.

Qualifications
10+ years of sourcing experience with electromechanical components and EMS supply chains.
Proficient understanding of ERP systems; familiarity with SAP ERP and S4 Hana is a plus.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and logical data analysis.
Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of success.
Expertise in risk minimization strategies for the supply chain (e.g., VMI, Kanban).
Ability to interpret engineering BOMs and technical drawings.
ASCM or ISM certifications are a plus.
