**The Target Pay Range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000 annually. At Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training and budget.**
**Job Purpose/Overview**
The Field Support Specialist (FSS) role supports field sales activity by providing outstanding installation, onboarding and training, and integration support, as well as ongoing relationship management with our customers. The FSS is responsible for hardware and accessory installation, software connectivity for the Antech In-House Diagnostic (IHD) portfolio, Reference Lab (RL) portfolio, and other Mars Science and Diagnostic (SDx) products and services. The FSS provides detailed end-user hands-on technical and staff training for these services. They walk customers through software installation and launch newly-installed programs and analyzers for the first time. The FSS sends technical documentation to customers and end-users and makes recommendations to associates or customers. The FSS brings our customer support vision to life by demonstrating unwavering commitment to empathetic and caring veterinary diagnostic support from onboarding to relationship management to escalated support needs.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Responsible for customer relations and education upon sale completion and coordination of IHD install and components.
+ Plans, schedules, organizes, documents and performs all Reference Lab Onboarding and IHD installations.
+ Physical install of IHD systems and computers at clinic location as well as gaining understanding from and raising concerns on behalf of the client to ensure resolution.
+ Applications and use training for customers for all products and services offered by Antech IHD, RL and other SDx services.
+ Own IHD system post-installation follow-up activities, identify gaps and road blocks that occurred during the installation process and facilitate resolutions, which may involve other departments.
+ Offer ongoing assistance and availability for on location support to customers whose needs surpass the abilities of phone and online interactive support.
+ Coordinate phone and online applications support as part of the ongoing training process (pre and post training) and as back up assistance to the Technical Support department.
+ Perform troubleshooting on system performance designed to improve customer self-sufficiency.
+ Recognizes and communicates product issues and potential improvements to others in theorganization in a timely and effective manner.
+ Collaborates during the sales cycle regarding interaction/technical/workflow issues.
+ Produces high quality work in a timely manner.
+ Ensures compliance to training standards and uses independent judgment to recommend updates to those standards, and implementation of those updates.
+ Reviews and provides suggested optimization for individual clinic sample handling, workflow, and patient results management.
+ Actively supports RL portfolio growth and ensures integration of RL offerings with client software, troubleshooting connectivity/integration issues and training clients on the ordering process.
+ Facilitate repeated clinic staff training using independent judgment to determine when needed in furtherance of customer retention, IHD and RL usage, and in support our belief that Better Diagnostics equals Better Medicine.
+ Log all customer-related activity with attention to detail and in a timely manner in the corporate customer management database.
+ Work with the Technical Support Services (TSS) department to alleviate technical issues in identified clinics requiring re-training, analyzer maintenance, etc.
+ Work in close collaboration with Sales and TSS on an ongoing, pro-active basis to formulate solutions to various clinic and territory technical needs.
+ Maintains efficiency of clinic coverage, accountable to maintain call coverage within set guidelines.
+ Prepares, provides and conveys diversified information, which may be of a technical or competitive nature through departmental procedures and directives.
+ Serves as an on-site liaison between the customer and Antech.
+ Consults in the sales cycle regarding interaction/technical/workflow issues.
+ Manage time; territory, systems and accounts effectively to meet customer needs; organizational priorities and sales objectives.
+ Completes other duties as assigned.
**Education** **and** **Experience**
+ BS/BA degree in related field preferred, or combination of education and industry experience
+ 4+ years relevant technical experience with demonstrated success.
+ Previous veterinary medicine background preferred, and prior customer service preferred.
+ IHD diagnostics experience: collection, preparation, testing, etc.
**Knowledge,** **Skills** **and Abilities**
+ In-house diagnostics utilization, installation and training experience preferred
+ Ability to efficiently shift focus from one task to another during heavy workload (including travel, phone, email and data entry)
+ Must work well independently with minimal direction.
+ Able to determine when escalation of issues to leadership and manufacturing is necessary.
+ Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other computer software required.
+ Knowledge of basic computer networks and components required
+ Must possess good interpersonal skills with a customer service-oriented attitude.
+ Must have a strong planning & organizational skill with good attention to detail to handle a complex installation, training and support schedule.
+ Proven ability to follow through and resolve issues
+ Must be willing to be a team player and assist inside and outside of assigned areas as needed.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Travel**
Extensive travel with frequent clinic visits and overnight travel will be required up to 75% of the time.
**Working Conditions**
The associate is regularly required to apply manual dexterity, including hand/wrist flexibility, for computer keyboarding. The associate frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is frequently required to hear and speak in order to use the telephone, make presentations and communicate with people in an office or virtual environment. The associate is occasionally required to sit and stoop, bend, kneel, or crouch. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
The associate will primarily work in a typical office environment or a remote home office. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The associate will be required to use a computer, spreadsheets, data base management, email, video conferencing and the Internet. The associate is frequently required to use a calculator; fax, copy machine, and phone system. The associate must occasionally use media equipment such as an overhead projector, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams. Environment where pets are present.

Required Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
4-years prior related experience

Security Support Specialist

Amentum has an upcoming opportunity for a part-time or full-time Security Support Specialist position in Spokane, WA. In this role, you will provide support in maintaining an effective and comprehensive Information, Personnel, Physical, and Industrial security program in support of a government contract. You will be responsible for the management of personnel security clearances and implementing security policies and procedures associated with a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF). You will also support the customer with processing and protecting Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), clearing personnel for site visits, and assisting government security officers on various security related matters.
Responsibilities:
* Conducting comprehensive reviews of: DISS (Defense Information System for Security), soon to be NBIS (National Background Investigation Services), in association with DoD Manual 5105.21 Vol 2 requirements.
* Provide support to personnel clearance actions and on issues of personnel eligibility and "need-to- know" factors within the organization.
* Maintain specific program guidance relative to security disciplines and ensure the complete protection of all sensitive program components.
* Support all unit personnel security education and training programs.
* Support compliance with directives, regulations, and operational instructions that enforce national level and DoD policy and guidance regarding the administration and maintenance of SCI.
* Support the implementation and administration of local procedures for processing requests for security clearances for military, civilian, and industry personnel. Initiate request for personnel security accesses consistent with directives.
* Ensure that requests for security clearances are screened and verified, and that all necessary forms and documentation have been completed before processing for clearances. Monitor DISS (soon to be NBIS) security database for clearance status updates.
Other Duties Include:
* Coordinate personnel for indoctrinations into SCI.
* Compose and maintain personnel security files with relevant information pertaining to SCI clearances.
* Prepare Transfer-in-Status (TIS) clearance messages for personnel requiring access at gaining/losing units.
* Implement appropriate SCI standards as well as provide thorough briefings on local procedures.
* Provide guidance on appropriate classification of information, to include document as well as visual aid/slide show review.
* Support Government investigations of security violations and identify appropriate corrective actions.
* Coordinate courier duties and perform escort duties.
* Coordinate incoming/outgoing visit request and maintain annual visit notification requests.
* Maintain records and inventories of badges and keys/codes.
* Perform ancillary day-to-day security activities pertaining to facility security to include but not limited to lock-up and changing cipher combinations.
* Responsible for updating JADE (Joint Access Database Environment) with change in status of cleared personnel.
* Prepare written reports of facility surveys and inspections.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Must have an Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI access; applicant must maintain clearance in active status. Clearance investigation close or Continuous Evaluation (CE) date must be no more than 4 years 6 months at the time of application. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain an Active US Government Clearance.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in personnel security regulations, policies, and programs. A general overall knowledge of personnel security concepts, methods, practices, and procedures as is required for daily management of SCI billet program.
* Minimum 5 years of comprehensive experience and practical knowledge of SCI Security Principles and Procedures. Active Security Professional Education Development (SPED) certification.
* Operational experience with DISS (soon to be NBIS) to perform day to day taskings such as processing visit access requests, updating personnel access, and initiating an investigation.
* In-depth knowledge of building, accrediting, and managing SCIFs across various government agencies. Ability to prepare Fixed Facility Checklists for client.
* Extensive knowledge and experience with DoD Manual 5105.21 Vol 2, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Information Security Oversight Office (ISOO).
* Experience with confidentiality requirements related to sensitive personal information, clearance investigations, OSI files, as well as the procedures, which must be followed to protect the information.
* Thorough understanding of security training concepts, programs, procedures, and practices that aid and assist program managers in complying with established security programs in accordance with DoD Manual 5105.21 series.
Other Requirements:
* This is a non-remote, 100% on-site position, which may occasionally include working outside of normal business hours, including weekends and holidays to support an urgent customer need.
* This position is a drug-testing position. The incumbent is: (a) to refrain from use of illegal drugs and (b) if requested, submit to urinalysis testing.
* May be required to travel in performance of temporary duty (0-10%).

Service Contract Act (SCA) Compensation & Benefits:
This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA, and in addition to your base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour you work to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the act. The amount you are entitled to receive will vary depending upon the fringe benefits you select now and in the future.

Support the implementation and administration of local procedures for processing requests for security clearances for military, civilian, and industry personnel. Initiate request for personnel security accesses consistent with directives.
Ensure that requests for security clearances are screened and verified, and that all necessary forms and documentation have been completed before processing for clearances. Monitor DISS (soon to be NBIS) security database for clearance status updates.
Other Duties Include:
Coordinate personnel for indoctrinations into SCI.
Compose and maintain personnel security files with relevant information pertaining to SCI clearances.
Prepare Transfer-in-Status (TIS) clearance messages for personnel requiring access at gaining/losing units.
Implement appropriate SCI standards as well as provide thorough briefings on local procedures.
Provide guidance on appropriate classification of information, to include document as well as visual aid/slide show review.
Support Government investigations of security violations and identify appropriate corrective actions.
Coordinate courier duties and perform escort duties.
Coordinate incoming/outgoing visit request and maintain annual visit notification requests.
Maintain records and inventories of badges and keys/codes.
Perform ancillary day-to-day security activities pertaining to facility security to include but not limited to lock-up and changing cipher combinations.
Responsible for updating JADE (Joint Access Database Environment) with change in status of cleared personnel.
Prepare written reports of facility surveys and inspections.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have an Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI access; applicant must maintain clearance in active status. Clearance investigation close or Continuous Evaluation (CE) date must be no more than 4 years 6 months at the time of application. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain an Active US Government Clearance.
Minimum 5 years' experience in personnel security regulations, policies, and programs. A general overall knowledge of personnel security concepts, methods, practices, and procedures as is required for daily management of SCI billet program.
Minimum 5 years of comprehensive experience and practical knowledge of SCI Security Principles and Procedures. Active Security Professional Education Development (SPED) certification.
Operational experience with DISS (soon to be NBIS) to perform day to day taskings such as processing visit access requests, updating personnel access, and initiating an investigation.
In-depth knowledge of building, accrediting, and managing SCIFs across various government agencies. Ability to prepare Fixed Facility Checklists for client.
Extensive knowledge and experience with DoD Manual 5105.21 Vol 2, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Information Security Oversight Office (ISOO).
Experience with confidentiality requirements related to sensitive personal information, clearance investigations, OSI files, as well as the procedures, which must be followed to protect the information.
Thorough understanding of security training concepts, programs, procedures, and practices that aid and assist program managers in complying with established security programs in accordance with DoD Manual 5105.21 series.
Other Requirements:
This is a non-remote, 100% on-site position, which may occasionally include working outside of normal business hours, including weekends and holidays to support an urgent customer need.
This position is a drug-testing position. The incumbent is: (a) to refrain from use of illegal drugs and (b) if requested, submit to urinalysis testing.
May be required to travel in performance of temporary duty (0-10%).

A thorough knowledge of MS Office software, especially Word and Excel.
Experience in the administrative process to protect the security of SCI in the workplace and the sensitivity of information contained in personnel security records.
Experience writing, interpreting, and enforcing security Standard Operating Procedures, OPSEC and Emergency Action plans.
Service Contract Act (SCA) Compensation & Benefits:
This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA, and in addition to your base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour you work to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the act. The amount you are entitled to receive will vary depending upon the fringe benefits you select now and in the future.
