What Does an Asset Protection Manager Do?
* Own the AP Strategy: Lead all asset protection and safety initiatives in your store, aligning with regional goals to minimize risk and maximize trust.
* Lead & Develop Your Team: You'll oversee, manage, and inspire a talented and diverse team of asset protection personnel, creating clear pathways for growth and accountability.
* Drive Shrink Reduction: Monitor data, investigate losses, and implement action plans that reduce shrink and improve operational integrity.
* Oversee Incident Response: Lead investigations and response efforts for theft, fraud, safety issues, or emergencies while ensuring thorough documentation and discretion.
* Train & Coach Teams: Deliver impactful training on safety, situational awareness, and emergency procedures. Ensure every team member understands their role in a secure environment.
* Build Cross-Functional Partnerships: Collaborate with Sales, Visual, Logistics, Facilities, Corporate, and other cross-functional teams to integrate AP practices into daily operations.
* Use Data to Inform Action: Leverage reporting tools, audits, and technology like CCTV to identify trends and develop proactive solutions.

You'll Thrive in this Role if You Have:
* Retail Experience: 5+ years of asset protection experience in a retail environment, and 2+ at a supervisory level.
* Proven Leadership: 4-6 years of retail asset protection, security, or loss prevention experience, with at least 2+ years leading teams.
* AP & Safety Expertise: Strong knowledge of brick and mortar asset protection strategies, investigations, and compliance best practices (retail environment preferred).
* Problem-Solving Grit: Ability to balance short-term incident response with long-term prevention strategies in a fast-moving retail setting.

A Day In The Life
+ Foster and maintain cross functional partnerships with district, regional and store management, human resources, legal, operations, and inventory control teams on asset protection and shortage control matters.
+ Audit the financial, merchandising, and operations divisions of assigned locations, providing focused and actionable analysis of results, and ensure proper follow-up with the team to implement recommendations and drive continuous improvement.
+ Provide strategic direction and leadership in the implementation of asset protection programs, while supporting the teaching and training of store teams to ensure alignment with company objectives.
+ Oversee shortage control staffing across all store locations in the district, ensuring effective management of payroll and expenses in alignment with budget and plan.
+ Conduct and manage internal and external investigations, internal investigation interviewing, external apprehension programs, audits, shortage reduction programs and system controls.
+ Monitor and maintain physical security controls and systems for all assigned locations including CCTV, burglar and fire alarms, electronic article surveillance and emergency systems, etc.
+ Build strong relationships with law enforcement and legal professionals to successfully interface with these partners on criminal and civil matters.
You'll Come With
+ 6+ years of Retail Asset Protection experience, including District and/or Multi-Unit experience.
+ Familiarity with asset protection programs and software including Think LP and Secure 5 and have proficiency in Microsoft Office.
+ Experience conducting internal investigation interviews and managing external apprehension programs with proven ability to successfully resolve incidents is preferred.
+ Travel is required to all stores within the designated district.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee that all aspects of the security function on-site are performed in a diligent manner (staffing, scheduling, and on-site training all Allied Universal . personnel assigned to his/her site)
Ensure that contract-required training and screening elements for security personnel have been met
Maintain overtime to a minimal or preset requirement designated by AUS
Ensure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting security personnel and their job performance when assigned to his/her shift
Perform other operations and related functions (e.g., payroll, review and maintain incident reports, assist in preparation of security surveys and post orders)
Make recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for those under his/her direct supervision.
Respond to client requests
