Position Summary:
The purpose of the CDL Driver is to operate large company vehicles, which include dump trucks, flatbeds, tri-axels, tankers, and other company CDL vehicles to and on various company construction sites, while doing so in a safe and efficient manner.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Successful candidates will be able to perform the following essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Operate various commercial vehicles, such as dump trucks, flatbeds, triaxles, or tankers, in strict compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety protocols.
Conduct pre-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle, identifying and reporting any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
May assist with loading and unloading materials on construction sites, following safe practices and using appropriate equipment when necessary.
Caring for company machines/vehicles/equipment/tools.
Keep working sites clean of all unused/waste materials and ensure all equipment is stored in a safe and secure manner.
Ensure the practice of safety standards in accordance with company policies and OSHA.
Willingness to perform and learn different aspects of the Construction Laborer position.
Following instructions from supervisors.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum of two (2) years of experience operating commercial vehicles in a construction environment.
Mechanical aptitude - Preferred.
Other Requirements:
Be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screens & background check, including MVR.
Must be in a union or be willing to join a union.
Up-to-date DOT Medical Card - Required.

Who You Are:
Successful candidates for the CDL Driver role are motivated and eager to provide a high level of customer service. You are someone with previous driving experience and is familiar with pre and post trip inspections and using online log systems.
What You Will Be Doing:
Current and active Class A or B Driver's license with good driving record
Drives truck to destination.
Distributes receipts for load picked up.
Occasionally collects payment for goods delivered and for delivery charges.
Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.
Contacts customers to advise delivery times.
Unload truck.
Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
Skills You Bring:
Must be CDL Licensed, must pass Driver's Testing, and must pass DOT Physical / Drug Testing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performs all work adhering to DOT Regulations and H&K Safety policies
Be able to make timely deliveries to various locations
Prepares receipts for load pick up
Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations and company policy
Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor/Dispatch to receive delivery instructions
Loads and unloads truck
Performs daily pre and post trip inspection of vehicle, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water.
Tarps all loads when on public roadways at all times
Trims loads prior to tarping when necessary
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Skills, Education, and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution
Class A CDL with 1 year of commercial driving experience OR Class B CDL with 1 year of triaxle driving experience
Clean driving record
Customer Service and Teamwork
Strong Verbal and written communication skills
Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience
3 years of commercial driving experience
Strong preference for 3 years of triaxle driving experience
Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement
TWIC card preferred with CDL class A
Manual transmission experience

This non-exempt position is dispatched to transport construction materials to customer or various job site locations. Conducts all work in accordance with Allan Myers policies, procedures, and programs.
Responsibilties:
Makes daily pre/post trip inspections on assigned vehicle to maintain maximum vehicle safety conditions and to check for any damaged or work parts or for any signs of tampering.
Pickup materials (dirt, stone, or asphalt), haul to jobsite locations and deliver materials. Repeat process as needed in a safe and timely manner as directed.
Maintains a truck log in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policy.
Communicates regularly with dispatcher to ensure that delivery schedule is being followed and that any problems with traffic or with site conditions are reported promptly
Complies with all aspects of truck maintenance, cleanliness, and repair in accordance with the guidelines specified in the Truck Driver's Handbook.
Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned.

High School Diploma or GED required
3+ years' experience driving a Dump Truck required
Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License is required
+5 Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) or Clear Driving Record required
Valid DOT Med Card required

**Responsibilities:**

Position Summary:
The purpose of the CDL Driver is to operate large company vehicles, which include dump trucks, flatbeds, tri-axels, tankers, and other company CDL vehicles to and on various company construction sites, while doing so in a safe and efficient manner.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Successful candidates will be able to perform the following essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Operate various commercial vehicles, such as dump trucks, flatbeds, triaxles, or tankers, in strict compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety protocols.
Conduct pre-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle, identifying and reporting any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
May assist with loading and unloading materials on construction sites, following safe practices and using appropriate equipment when necessary.
Caring for company machines/vehicles/equipment/tools.
Keep working sites clean of all unused/waste materials and ensure all equipment is stored in a safe and secure manner.
Ensure the practice of safety standards in accordance with company policies and OSHA.
Willingness to perform and learn different aspects of the Construction Laborer position.
Following instructions from supervisors.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
