The primary purpose of the CDL/Lowboy Driver is to operate a truck and trailer and to safely transport construction and other heavy equipment to and from different job sites.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Ability to operate a lowboy truck and trailer to and from different job sites.
Ability to operate a service truck when needed.
Maintenance of company vehicles, equipment, and machinery.
Keep job sites clean of all unused/waste materials and ensure all vehicles, equipment, and machinery are stored in a safe and secure manner.
Ability to load and unload equipment safely and efficiently at various locations.
Ensure all payloads are loaded securely before moving to ensure safety and to comply with company and DOT standards.
Must be able to comply with and follow all company and DOT requirements and regulations.
Ensure the practice of safety standards in accordance with company policies, DOT, and OSHA.
Perform all other tasks and follow instructions as directed by direct supervisors.
Workdays & Shifts
Must be available to work varied shifts (days, nights, weekends)
Willingness to travel for extended periods of time.
Education/Certifications/Licenses
Valid Class A CDL with a Tanker Endorsement - Required.
Up-to-date DOT Medical Card - Required.
Experience & Knowledge
Two (2) years' experience as a CDL/Lowboy Driver - Required.
Mechanical aptitude - Required.
Heavy Haul Experience - Required
Other Requirements
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age or older.
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screens & background checks, including MVR.
Must be in a union or be willing to join a union.
