YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: Create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, database, API and performance testing needs. Adapt to emerging AI-driven solutions and quality engineering trends by evaluating and integrating advanced tools into the automation tech stack, including developing proof-of-concepts for innovative approaches Develop automation guidelines and script maintenance instructions per project or account basis. Develop test data generation guidelines based on Principles of CRUD (Create, Read, Update, AND Delete) for clean test environments. Conduct pull request/code review for automation scripts written by QA peers. Ensure all test automation standards, guidelines, and script maintenance instructions are followed by team based on testing approach. Communicate project automation test results with all stakeholders. Take ownership of the automation tasks with a “gets things done “attitude. Mentor other SDET team members to adopt more advanced testing techniques. REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 4+ years of Python programming experience with a focus in test automation. Minimum 2+ years of experience with JavaScript. Strong experience in Python (several years) with ability to build automation frameworks from scratch. Experience in writing and executing stable and high-quality automated test scripts, analyzing and interpreting test results, and ability to identify, record, and track defects. Experience in test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress.io, Playwright, Karate etc. Experience working with Kubernetes, Docker. Experience in automating data pipelines is a plus. Experience in unit testing frameworks like Junit, TestNG, NUnit, Mocha and Jasmine. Hands-on knowledge of database testing, SQL/NoSQL (Any database management software: MySQL, Oracle, PostGres, mongo DB, Hadoop) Expertise with Test automation of REST API services using RestAssured library. Experience with performance or load testing tools such as Gatling, JMeter or LoadRunner Proficient in at least one version control tool (Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps). Foundational knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda, SQS, SNS, and RedShift. Experience with AWS data stores and ETL services like AWS Glue. POSITION DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Duties Percentage Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Litter control in all areas of the Zoo & Aquarium including but not limited to parking lots, walking paths, grassy areas, buildings, and event spaces. * Maintaining cleanliness of all facilities, including but not limited to restrooms, administrative areas, buildings, and event spaces. * Frequently emptying trash receptacles and recycling. * Organizing and cleaning outside eating areas. * Regularly working with bodily fluids. * Setting up, cleaning, monitoring, and tearing down special events. * Greeting and welcoming all guests. * Assisting with all guests' needs, including questions, inquiries, and directions. * Safely operating equipment such as trash compactors, floor scrubbers, pressure washers, orbital buffers, leaf blowers, snow blowers, and extractors. 95% Performs snow removal, as necessary. 5% * This position may at times be requested to perform other duties or special projects as assigned, which are in the best interest of the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium.
