    Full-time Description Develop employment opportunities and coordinates with employers the hiring, training, and necessary on-going supports required by individuals with disabilities to maintain employment. Facilitate positive relationships between co-workers with and without disabilities to ensure successful employment and to maximize opportunities for lasting relationships. Assist and support people with disabilities in gaining citizenship, involvement in their communities, and the development of friends and supports outside of the human service system. Duties/Responsibilities: Planning Conduct comprehensive analysis of interests, skills, and needs for support in the process of career planning for all persons assigned. Ensure that efforts are undertaken to implement the individual choices of each person assigned. Develop plans for specific job development efforts. Plan for all supports required for successful employment retention and coordinates efforts with family, care-providers, co-workers, community members, and others. Employment Development Responsible for the development of quality employment opportunities for persons with disabilities. Market supported employment services to employers. Assess appropriateness of work by conducting job and compatibility analysis. Provide education and consultation to employers. Employment Support Provide directly, or as a consultant to the employer, all necessary supports to ensure successful employment. Use systematic instructional techniques, collection and interpretation of data, and natural and planned supports. Provide on-going technical assistance to the employer. Provide support or training necessary outside the work setting to ensure success which may include, but is not limited to: transportation, grooming/hygiene, social skills, family or personal counseling, and communications with significant others. Advocacy Communicate and interact with significant people in the lives of supported employees to ensure successful employment. Coordinates necessary supports outside the work environment with community resources. Facilitate natural supports and the development of close relationships both within and outside the work setting. Act to strengthen connections to the community to ensure successful employment and lessen dependency on the human service system. Provide disability awareness training, as appropriate. Assurance Provide input for the development, implementation, and monitoring of Individual Service Plans for persons assigned. Act as case manager to ensure quality and coordination of services. Maintain all required documentation and needed data. Maintain accurate time/billing records and submit as supervisor requests. Maintain open communication with funding sources, other service providers, state/federal agencies, families/care providers, and significant others. Assess the satisfaction of consumers and their families with service providers. Requirements Knowledge of Supported Employment, Social Role Valorization, and/or direct experience in job development, task analysis, data collection, job analysis, and work site training is preferred. Membership in professional, business, or community organizations is an asset. Demonstration of excellent verbal and written skills. Must be able to keep accurate documentation. Valid driver's license needed to provide effective transportation to work sites. Work non-standard/flexible hours. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation, Special Education, Public Relations, or closely related discipline, four years' experience in human services related to people with disabilities, or a combination of education and work experience equaling four years. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds: upper body leverage strength required.

Company Name: FM Global Job DescriptionMore information about this job:Overview: FM Global - The San Francisco Operations, is currently accepting applications for a Jurisdictional Consultant II based in either the Spokane WA or Fresno CA areas respectively. These positions are primarily responsible for conducting in-service inspections of boilers and pressure vessels in accordance with the applicable jurisdiction. In this position you would report to the San Francisco Operations Manager, but work as field consultants in the designated areas/location. Responsibilities: The jurisdictional consultant is responsible for their assigned service group (territory). They must be able to do week-long travel with some overnight hotel stays. You must be able to work in confined spaces or at heights with appropriate safety equipment. You will be expected to work independently, must possess a valid driver's license, and be able to operate from a home office. The consultant is expected to make intelligent decisions related to travel, work expenses, report timeliness, time management and time reporting, use of company equipment, and our company's and client's intellectual property. The consultant will make sound observations and perform inspections in accordance to the National Board Boiler and Pressure Vessel Rules, ASME Code of Construction, and the applicable jurisdictional laws and rules on behalf of FM Global clients. Inspections are conducted within the requirements of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, the Rules of the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors, The National Board Inspection Code, jurisdictional laws and regulations, and FM Global programs, procedures and instructions. The consultant will be supervised by the Operations Chief Inspector -San Francisco Operations. In addition, the consultant performs inspections of varying scope at low to high exposure locations and occupancies to eliminate or mitigate risk factors. Qualifications: Experience in one or more of the following; boiler and pressure vessel construction with an emphasis in installation and maintenance, previous boiler inspection experience, combustion and controls, boiler safety devices, and a good understanding of nondestructive examination testing methods is preferred. Microsoft Office applications experience is required. Depending on an individual's experience and other factors, the inspector should have an associate degree from a 2-year technical/vocational school/ or engineering college, or, a high school diploma (GED is acceptable), with a technical working knowledge of boiler and machinery equipment obtained through work experiences. Candidates who have already obtained a National Board In-Service Commission (IS), and/or state commissions within State of California or Washington, are preferred. Candidates who do not currently possess a National Board In-Service (IS) Commission will be considered. A successful candidate would be expected to complete an assigned training course and successfully pass the National Board IS Commission test within one year of employment. National Board "R" endorsement is preferred. Knowledge of Jurisdiction Online system is a preferred. Bachelor or Science in Engineering with emphasis in Mechanical Engineering is a plus. Additional National Board Endorsements are a plus. As a remote employee, the consultant most be a self-starter, self-motivated with excellent organization skills. The consultant must pay close attention to details, be able to understand and explain boiler and pressure vessel deficiencies, and have a strong ability to thoroughly explain loss prevention recommendations to a client. You must have strong organizational, communication, listening and interpersonal skills. Efficient time management, problem solving, and computer skills are a must. The consultant, while operating remotely, is expected to be a team player, aiming for successful results for the company, and for the client. The salary range for this position is $68,000 to $109,200. The final salary offer will vary based on geographic location, individual education, skills, and experience.
