Tachyus CEO and leadership

Pallav is Co-founder and Chief Scientist at Tachyus, leading the development of the fundamental modeling and optimization technologies underlying the Tachyus platform. He is an industry recognized expert in closed-loop reservoir management, with multiple patents and numerous papers on the subject.

He has over 12 years of experience working for Chevron and Schlumberger prior to Tachyus. As a Staff Research Scientist for Chevron, he was responsible for their key simulation and optimization technologies. He was a key contributor to one of the three projects for which Chevron received the prestigious INFORMS Prize in 2015. He has received many awards including the Dantzig Dissertation award from INFORMS, Miller and Ramey Fellowships at Stanford University, Chevron’s Excellence in Reservoir Management award, and a SIAM award for excellence in research. He holds a Ph.D. in Petroleum Engg. and a Ph.D. Minor in Operations Research from Stanford University, and a B.Tech. from Indian School of Mines.

He is also a Co-founder of SoLoMob Inc., which is engaged in the development of social, local and mobile applications, and currently has three Android applications with a combined user base of over 2 million users.

His interests include Reservoir Simulation, Optimization, Data Assimilation, Inverse Modeling, Machine Learning, Optimal Control Theory, Uncertainty Quantification, Reservoir Engineering, Statistics, Geostatistics, C++, Matlab and Java Programming, Android App Development, Artificial Intelligence, Probability Theory, Stochastic Processes, etc.
