The Role
* Hire, train and develop talent for all roles

Requirements
* 3+ years of relevant aerial and/or underground telecommunications construction experience required
* Prior project leadership experience preferred
* Prior construction industry experience required; coax splicing, fiber splicing, directional drilling, map reading, etc.
* Ability to be flexible and manage changing priorities
* Able to travel throughout market to various projects as needed
* Open to a variety of schedules and accessible outside of normal business hours as needed
* Excellent customer service, time management, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

The Role

Job Summary and Responsibilities
The Supervisor OSP Construction directly manages and oversees all aspects of multiple OSP construction and maintenance projects, in support of an overall OSP program, within the assigned geographic or customer territory, from conception to completion. This includes development of OSP construction projects and oversight of each project's organization, scheduling, implementation, and completion; material and equipment management; budget management; and responsibility to collaboratively work with and support others contributing to OSP construction project, whether employees or external vendors. This position is responsible for managing direct reports, as assigned, and for overseeing performance by vendors. Travel requirements vary by project, can be up to 75%
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Manage day to day activities for multiple assigned OSP construction projects:
Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems as part of individual OSP projects.
Prepare and submit performance requirements, material needs, timing information, budget estimates and other operational documents in support of KGPCo proposals and quotes.
Prepare proposals and quotes.
Evaluate construction methods and determine cost-effectiveness of plans.
Schedule OSP construction projects in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.
Study OSP construction project specifications to determine appropriate construction methods and needs.
Obtain necessary permits and licenses.
Manage and track inventory, materials and equipment including project specific inventory, tools, vehicles, equipment and supplies.
Determine labor requirements and engage with Human Resources to recruit, hire and/or re-assign employees to ensure adequate staffing levels are met.
Direct and supervise subordinate employees and vendors involved in managing and performing day to day OSP Construction activities.
Select, coordinate and oversee vendors that complete specific pieces of OSP construction projects, such as tower crews, line crews, splicing crews, subcontractors, staff augmentation providers, landscapers, painters or plumbers.
Meet contractual conditions of performance set by customer.
Monitor budget and input data for systems to prepare progress and cost tracking reports for internal and external use.
Monitor OSP construction progress, make adjustments necessary to meet deadlines, specifications, building codes, safety codes and other applicable regulations and input data for systems to prepare progress reports for internal and external use.
Investigate damage, accidents, emergencies and delays; determine and take action to mitigate impact
Confer with employees, vendors, customers, owners, architects and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
Be familiar with KGPCo safety and quality programs and manage OSP construction projects according to applicable safety requirements.
Monitor projects to be sure site safety inspections are conducted and ensure safety and quality guidelines are followed by employees and vendors.
Regularly and continuously review the work progress for each OSP construction project.
Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.
Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
Hire full-time and temporary laborers to contribute to each project.
Approves timecards and time off requests from employees
Approves expense reports from employees
Possess valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities
Direct a team of Field Coordinators or Outside Plant Engineers to manage construction contractors to meet company deadlines for fiber duct, fiber installation and splicing through test and activation/close out with quality and safety being front of mind.
Set quality and safety standards processes, ensure quality and safety checks are taking place with contractors daily/weekly meetings and reporting documentation is gathered and placed in a company repository.
Seek out and manage positive relationships with external partners
Work with key internal partners to understand both needs and constraints, creating plans to provide solutions
Leverage outside resources to maximize production
Manage to timelines and constraints, ensuring there is clear communication to all stakeholders
Utilize creative problem solving skills to identify unique solutions
Create opportunities to outsource functions currently done internally

General Summary:
The Construction Manager provides leadership to Construction teams by ensuring that efficient preparation and implementation occurs with forecasts, estimates, budgets, plans, inspection, testing, and other related job duties. This role serves s as a leader by guiding and developing members and maintains close working relationship with all partners to support and oversee build activities within the network. Essential Job Functions:
Directs and coordinates the work of assigned staff.
Assists team with reviewing detailed drawings and staking sheets for new construction, removal or rearrangement of existing aerial or underground lines, cable, and conduits.
Ensures that teams manage compliance to industry specifications by staking all lines to be built and organization necessary paperwork and staking sheets and trackers.
Monitors the routing of lines, equipment requirements, installation drawings, costs estimates, construction work, and other project specifics.
Advises and researches innovative technologies and identifies areas of the plant that need to be upgraded.
Attends various meetings with management, departments, and vendors to ensure company objectives are met.
Participates in inter-departmental planning meetings to coordinate and communicate activities related to the successful completion of projects.
Responsible for performance management and employee development activities including performance reviews and time approvals.
Makes job safety a primary objective in all duties.
Travels to customer sites, project areas, business related events, and other Ritter Communications locations as required.
Building and maintaining of project trackers, dashboards, and reporting for ALL projects.

Delta's internship program is designed to provide first-hand exposure to industry operations, as well as 1:1 mentorship and networking opportunities to students in order to supplement college educational programs in the areas of business, engineering, and construction management. Main Responsibilities
As part of the internship program, the construction intern will gain exposure to multiple areas of construction operations, including, but not limited to:

Assist with operating, analyzing and documenting fiber and small cell network status via OTDR and RF analyzer equipment
Read and interpret blueprints/floor plans
Maintain good housekeeping practices
Measure and mark floors, position and assemble iron work and cable rack
Drill floors, install raised floors, install anchors, level, align and secure equipment including earthquake requirements
Assist new team members and ensure that all team members are up‐to‐date on knowledge of existing and new technologies
Perform the maintenance of existing cables, including evaluation tests and repairing old faulty cables
Perform rod and rope installs to confirm fiber path
Safely operate a boom truck, climb poles as needed and utilize standard tools of the trade and provide training and supervision for other team members

Close a project by completing daily production sheets, verifying proper levels after activation and optimization of equipment and troubleshoot as necessary
