Job Summary:We are currently seeking Registered Nurses to participate in our Perioperative Transition Program (PTP) - OR Training Program, starting December 2025!Our PTP Program offers novice RNs an excellent opportunity to develop intra-operative clinical and professional skills. In this comprehensive program, you will participate in both classroom and OR suite-based training, rotating through various surgical procedures while learning both the scrub and circulating role of an O. R. RN. TGH utilizes the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN) Periop 101: A Core Curriculum combined with dedicated educators and preceptors to train new perioperative nurses in a structured program. Please note: RNs selected for this training program will be asked to give a minimum 2-year dedication to OR Nursing at TGH Davis Island Main Campus after successful completion of orientation. Trainees will be placed at either the Davis Island Main Level 1 Trauma OR, 4K Women's Center OR, Cardiac/Vascular/Transplant OR (CVTOR), or 6K Robotic Center of Excellence OR. Leads programs or workgroups and provides internal clinical professional development consulting. As assigned, responsible for the oversight of all divisional education activities. Performs other duties as assigned to include 8 clinical bedside hours, on a monthly basis, in area of specialty. Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) and three years related experience. Licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida. Ability to read, write and speak English clearly and distinctly. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. Knowledge of Microsoft Access, Project, Publisher, and Front Page desired. OR experience preferred WORKING CONDITIONSWork performed in a normal office setting and in classrooms. Involves walking, standing, keyboard activities. Extensive interaction with all levels of team members. Mobile throughout all areas of hospital, clinics, and external locations. This position has been evaluated as a Level 1 in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) definition of occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens.
