RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently, following traffic laws and regulations, and adhering to hours-of-service requirements
Load and unload cargo, ensuring it is properly secured, and managing paperwork related to shipments
Collect delivery instructions from dispatcher, verifying instructions and routes
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report maintenance issues, and perform routine maintenance tasks
Communicate with dispatchers and customers, maintain accurate trip logs, and document deliveries
Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
Transport non-hazardous and hazardous materials in accordance with applicable guidelines, DOT, and company safety procedures
Perform industrial work and biohazard cleanups

The Class A Tanker Driver position based in Dardanelle, AR, is a critical role responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of liquid goods using tanker trucks. Picks up, hauls and disposes of bulky items and heavy trash. SUPERVISION Receives direct supervision from a Resource Recovery and Recycling Supervisor and/or designee who makes detailed work assignments, frequently reviews work in progress, and evaluates assigned tasks and work. Exercises no supervision over staff.

Representative Duties
Responds to work order assignments to pick up bulky and large trash items from residential and commercial customers.
Follows assigned route by utilizing a route sheet; removes, and places bins back according to assigned route sheet.
Loads, hauls and disposes of trash, debris and heavy objects.
Operates a variety of refuse collection equipment such as stake bed trucks and bin trucks in the collection of commercial and residential refuse.
Performs heavy manual work in the daily collection of trash. May empty containers into designated refuse trucks.
Compacts the refuse in the collection vehicle when necessary to ensure good loads and prevent littering of streets.
Responds to reports of damaged refuse and recycling containers and performs repairs using a variety of hand tools. Responds to calls on two-way radio.
Provides customer service in the field.
Performs a daily safety check and routine servicing of assigned refuse collection vehicles.
Prepare simple reports.
Address safety-related issues on the operation of collection vehicles and/or new equipment.
Identifies and reports damaged containers.
Follows applicable safety rules and regulations.
Performs other related duties, as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
