About the Technician position
We are looking for an experienced Technician to monitor, improve upon, and provide electromechanical support for the assigned Team to ensure safe and proper operation of all processes. To provide technical expertise in the field and drive equipment enhancement and optimization. To lead large projects related to machine modifications & program modifications out in the field. To be on call for critical troubleshooting needs.
Technician responsibilities are:
Perform all work safely and according to company standards
Work well with others within the team and throughout the organization
Regular attendance is an essential function of the position
Provide electrical and mechanical support to technicians
Possesses a strong knowledge of VFD (variable frequency drives), HMI (human machine interface), and AMC (advanced motion controller drives). Strong ability to read prints and troubleshoot electrical components
Possesses advanced knowledge in PLC (programmable logic controller) and ladder logic (Allen Bradley Studio 5000). ABB drives for Unit 1 area, AGV (automated guided vehicle) for Unit 2 area, HVAC (heating ventilation and cooling). Able to make programs, rung changes, set time frequencies, and troubleshoot issues
Able to program, troubleshoot, and repair all specific Unit equipment
Perform mechanical/electrical maintenance duties safely, professionally, and to standard while following all company and regulatory safe work and housekeeping practices
Provide redline changes for drawings and submit to Engineers
Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis investigations for critical breakdowns
Participate in and support Hankook's continuous improvement programs to include 5S
Develop and maintain a partnership approach to operations, quality, and EHS
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain all manners of mechanical machines and electrical components
Use of computer systems to perform diagnostics on electrical components and PLC system
Perform work from blueprints, sketches, or specifications
Inspect, clean, replace, and repair machines, motors, and other electrical components
Maintain wiring systems; bend conduit and replace old wiring
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Technician requirements are:
Education:
(Required) high school diploma or GED
Experience:
(Required) at least 4 years of previous maintenance experience in an industrial environment
Language:
(Required) good command of written and spoken English

As a Robot Technician you will
Configure robot systems and perform job calibrations for production operation
Monitor robot systems during production and address or report any operational issues
Assist in repairs to the robotic systems.
Understand the requirements of a properly installed and prepared tool and the impact of errors or improper setup on the robotic process
Perform machine cycle and make any necessary robot program modifications
Assess and troubleshoot operational errors
Read and understand product briefs and process sheets to ensure accuracy in machine set up
Operate HMI/MIU to optimize platen heights, install program for robots/robotics lines, and input process numbers for mold changes
Understand and efficiently operate robotic pendants, controllers, and panels.
Use a tape measure to confirm mold sizes
Ensure all equipment is in proper position before removing molds from machine
Clean and inspect molds between each use; report any damage to Set Up Lead and Quality Department, send out any damaged molds for repair
Install, repair, or replace end of arm tooling for robotic machines
Perform assigned preventative maintenance and housekeeping tasks to prevent productivity losses and possible equipment damage
Train new and existing team members on different functions of the work area to ensure all are able to perform all tasks properly; share knowledge and best practices to help aid efficiency and productivity
Cross train in other areas with similar equipment, and in areas that immediately precede and follow the operations you are responsible for
Perform all job functions in compliance with safety guidelines and company policies/procedures
Maintain your training and full understanding of the quality requirements of the products your equipment / process produces
Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition, clean and maintain equipment
Communicate clearly and work as part of a team
Work weekends and overtime, as required

Qualifications
Previous machine set up experience (preferred)
