The Medical Billing Technician provides advanced-level clerical support and routine financial processing for accounts receivable. Under general supervision, performs a variety of billing functions that includes the preparation and distribution of invoices, processing payments and payment approval. Analyzes billing data and prepares reports for revenue and expenditures. Duties & Responsibilities: * Prepares and submits electronic claims for services provided, tracks outstanding claims, posts payments, and prepares bills to consumers for deductibles, co-pays, or non-covered services. * Evaluates billing information provided by the client and intake worker for completeness and accuracy. GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To support the vision, mission and guiding principles of the City.
