Employee is responsible for ensuring the completion of assigned service requests and works orders. This position is also responsible for ensuring that all assigned work is completed in a safe and timely manner. This position will also be responsible for installing mains, services, manholes and other components of the wastewater collections system.
Essential Duties:
Responsible for supervising assigned crew members and ensuring that all work on the jobsite is completed in a safe and timely manner.
Responsible for the completion of all assigned service requests, work orders or tasks.
Responsible for the training of all crew members that involves day-to-day
tasks and basic functions of the crew's tasks.
Responsible for coordinating procurement of all materials for a jobsite through the supervisor.
Responsible for the preventative maintenance, checks and services of all assigned equipment, tractors and vehicles.
Responsible for accurate record keeping with the asset management program.
Responsible for proper jobsite set up to ensure safety of all personnel (i.e. DOT jobsite set up, cones, proper signage, barricades, etc.).
Responsible for installing and repairing assets within the wastewater collection system.
May have to work abnormal hours due to emergencies or natural disaster response.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned by the Department Head or Supervisor.
Requirements
Knowledge and Skills
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
Knowledge of excavating and trenching operations.
Knowledge of construction site safety.
Knowledge of 811 safe digging, local ordinances and state laws pertaining to excavating and trenching.
Basic computer skills
Ability to read, understand and implement blueprints, maps and engineering plans and specifications.
Ability to manage time efficiently and work independently with minimal supervision.
Good communication skills - verbal and written.
Basic understanding of wastewater collection systems and construction of wastewater collection systems.
Three years of wastewater collection system experience.
Physical/Environmental Requirements
The environmental working conditions of this position will include very frequently working around high/low temperatures, dust, or fumes, and working inside and outside. A person in this position will frequently work around hazardous machinery, wet surroundings and vibrations.
Mental stress or pressure of this position is frequent.
May at times work in confined spaces dealing with wastewater, gases and odor.

Job Description:

Description:
Employee is responsible for ensuring the completion of assigned service requests and works orders. This position is also responsible for ensuring that all assigned work is completed in a safe and timely manner. This position will also be responsible for installing mains, services, manholes and other components of the wastewater collections system.
Essential Duties:
Responsible for supervising assigned crew members and ensuring that all work on the jobsite is completed in a safe and timely manner.
Responsible for the completion of all assigned service requests, work orders or tasks.
Responsible for the training of all crew members that involves day-to-day
tasks and basic functions of the crew's tasks.
Responsible for coordinating procurement of all materials for a jobsite through the supervisor.
Responsible for the preventative maintenance, checks and services of all assigned equipment, tractors and vehicles.
Responsible for accurate record keeping with the asset management program.
Responsible for proper jobsite set up to ensure safety of all personnel (i.e. DOT jobsite set up, cones, proper signage, barricades, etc.).
Responsible for installing and repairing assets within the wastewater collection system.
May have to work abnormal hours due to emergencies or natural disaster response.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned by the Department Head or Supervisor.
Requirements:
Knowledge and Skills
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
Knowledge of excavating and trenching operations.
Knowledge of construction site safety.
Knowledge of 811 safe digging, local ordinances and state laws pertaining to excavating and trenching.
Basic computer skills
Ability to read, understand and implement blueprints, maps and engineering plans and specifications.
Ability to manage time efficiently and work independently with minimal supervision.
Good communication skills - verbal and written.
Basic understanding of wastewater collection systems and construction of wastewater collection systems.
Three years of wastewater collection system experience.
Physical/Environmental Requirements
The environmental working conditions of this position will include very frequently working around high/low temperatures, dust, or fumes, and working inside and outside. A person in this position will frequently work around hazardous machinery, wet surroundings and vibrations.
Mental stress or pressure of this position is frequent.
May at times work in confined spaces dealing with wastewater, gases and odor.

Minimum Qualifications

Must possess and maintain a valid Commercial Driver's License.
