ADVANCED PRACTICE REGISTERED NURSE SHIFTS: 12HR Shifts 7:00PM - 7:45AM with one weekend day, every other weekend Provides Advanced Practices Registered Nursing to clients at all levels of care with Claratel Behavioral Health DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provides direct diagnostic and treatment services for adults through scope of practice and under protocol
* Performs psychiatric evaluations, assessing mental disorders and recommendation for treatment
* Order medication and deliver psychiatric treatment including but not limited to therapy and medication
* Provides consultative services to clinical staff
* Complete all required paperwork for internal and external regulatory authorities
* Performs duties from a recovery oriented, client centered, and trauma informed perspective
PROGRAM ADMINISTRATION:
* Reviews and approves ISP's and other treatment plans
* Attends and participates in medical service meetings as scheduled
* Participates on assigned agency committees
DOCUMENTATION:
* Documentation supports billed services
BILLABLE HOUR STANDARD
* Will achieve assigned billable hour standard
SKILL, COMPETENCY & EDUCATION AND/OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS:
* Licensed as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia
* Maintain Board Certification as required by law in the State of Georgia protocol.
* As applicable, practiced within protocol agreement.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
* Thorough knowledge of the principles and skill in the practice of Advanced Practice and Psychiatric Nursing.
* Ability to make professional decisions.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, staff and the public.
* Ability to communicate effectively, build relationships and promote teamwork with all levels of coworkers.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
* Works indoors in a clinic, residential crisis setting or residential setting
* May be required to physically assist clients, may need to carry objects up to 10 pounds
* On-call after-hours availability may be necessary in a residential setting.

The Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center is seeking an experienced and dynamic Nurse Practitioner (NP) Cardiology for the Savannah Clinic. Ideal applicants are those who want to contribute to the achievement of quality care standards, as well as the growth and development of a VA academic hospital program. As a Licensed Independent Provider, the Nurse Practitioner practices autonomously and in coordination with health care professionals and other individuals.
The incumbent provides a wide range of health care services, including the diagnosis and management of acute, chronic, and complex health problems, health promotion, disease prevention, health education, and counseling to individuals, families, groups and communities. The Nurse Practitioner must be an excellent communicator and team player who is adaptable to the needs of a growing medical center. Other duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Providing high-quality care, increasing access, and improving outcomes for Veterans Performing cardiopulmonary assessments, including heart and lung auscultation, pulse and blood pressure monitoring, inspection of lower extremities for edema and arterial pulses, and assessment of wound sites post-cardiovascular procedures.
* Evaluating and following up on established cardiac patients in outpatient cardiology clinics.
* Developing and implementing an individualized plan to achieve optimal population health and disease management.
* Participating in and supervising stress testing under cardiologist oversight, including pharmacologic agents such as adenosine, dobutamine, and atropine Independently managing a panel of patients with arrhythmias and cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs), including pacemakers, ICDs, and loop recorders.
* Coordinating care with anesthesia, imaging, and surgical teams for EP procedure Ordering, interpreting (to the extent of training), and following up on diagnostic tests such as, but not limited to, ECGs, Holter Monitors, stress tests, echocardiogram, Cardiac CTs and Cardiac MRIs Monitoring and responding to alerts from the National Cardiac Device Monitoring Program.
* Initiating referrals/consults to specialty services; serving as a VA and community liaison Providing patient and family education on arrhythmia management, device care, and procedural expectations.
