Georgia Regional Hospital - Savannah (GRHS) operates 180 licensed, accredited inpatient beds for two major program areas: 1) adult mental health, 2) adult forensic services. GRH/Savannah offers inpatient adult mental health services, inpatient habilitation services and forensic program services to a catchment area of approximately 45 Georgia counties.
The Psychiatrist, in conjunction with a comprehensive treatment team, addresses the clinical needs of consumers in the hospital. This position is part-time to cover nights, weekends, and holidays.
* Admissions: Job duties include review of referrals from outside facilities for medical/psychiatric appropriateness, evaluation of individuals accepted from the community to determine the need for inpatient treatment, and reevaluation of individuals receiving treatment in our temporary observation unit.
Minimum Qualifications: Medical degree recognized by the Georgia Composite Medical Board (GCMB) AND licensure or license-eligible to practice medicine at a state institution or in the state of Georgia as provided by state law AND Two years of experience at the lower-level Physician 2 (HCP161) or position equivalent.
This is temporary or hourly paid work performing personnel services. Positions in this job are established for less than 9 months or scheduled for less than 30 hours per week and are not eligible for benefits if the position status is temporary (i.e., SCOA 513). Positions in this job are established for greater than 9 months and scheduled for greater than 30 hours per week if the position status is permanent labor (i.e., SCOA 512). Normally permanent labor positions are eligible for Health Insurance benefits.

The Oral Maxillofacial Surgery dental officer serves as a practicing dentist who performs a full range of professional dental procedures in connection with the treatment of commonly encountered dental diseases or dental health problems requiring standard corrective, restorative or preventive measures.
The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Dentist provides quality patient care in collaboration with other health care professionals. The incumbent will perform specific duties within his/her approved scope of practice. The Dentist should be proficient in all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery and limited general dentistry procedures.
Other duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Conducting oral and radiographic examinations of the oral cavity and its adjacent tissue and structures.
* Diagnosing pathological or irregular oral conditions.
* Ordering and interpreting diagnostic measures, such as radiographic images, other imaging, models etc.
* Completing dento-alveolar surgery, including simple surgical and complex exodontia, pre-prosthetic surgery, bone grafting, sinus and ridge augmentation, vestibuloplasty and implant placement procedures.
* Arranging for patient consultation, work-up, admission, medical/dental specialty and inter-disciplinary care, completion of surgical procedures, and providing post-operative and follow-up care of patients with illnesses, injuries, and disorders of both the functional and aesthetic aspects of the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial regions.
* Completing oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures including but not limited to treatment of facial traumatic injuries/facial fractures; treatment of pathological conditions such as benign cysts/tumors, orthognathic surgery, biopsy procedures and Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) surgery.
* Adhering to safety, health, and infection control standards, and demonstrating knowledge in the use and reprocessing of Reusable Medical Equipment (RME).
* Other related duties as assigned
Leadership
* Serves as Program Manager of the oral surgery section in the dental department.
* Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for complicated care in the community Oral & Maxillofacial treatment plans.
* Consults with Prosthetics, OR, Sterile Processing Service (SPS), Health Technology Management (HTM) and Pharmacy regarding the needs of the oral surgery section.
* Assists in Joint Commission and other survey readiness.
* Assists in ensuring that the National Patient Safety Goals are met.

Job Summary:
We are seeking Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrists to provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient psychiatric services to Veterans at the Atlanta VA Healthcare System and affiliated Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). Primary Responsibilities
Conduct psychiatric diagnostic evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapy.

Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.

Supervise mid-level providers (NPs/PAs) and collaborate with clinical staff.
Provide timely documentation and participate in peer review, committee meetings, and mandatory training.
Adhere to VA clinical policies, patient safety, and infection control procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
Medical License: Unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. state or territory.
Board Certification: Board Certified or Eligible by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
Certifications: Active BLS and ACLS (or equivalent).
Education: Graduate of an ACGME-accredited medical school and psychiatric residency program.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
The SUD Psychiatrist is a core member of the interdisciplinary substance use treatment team, responsible for the psychiatric care and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) of Veterans with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. * Provide consultation to other providers and teams on the diagnosis and management of substance use and co-occurring disorders.
* Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case reviews, and clinical huddles to support integrated treatment delivery.
* Monitor patient safety and contribute to suicide prevention practices through risk assessments, safety planning, and appropriate care coordination.
* Remain informed of and compliant with all relevant VA policies, federal regulations, and Joint Commission standards.
Work Environment and Supervision:
The SUD Psychiatrist works within a multidisciplinary team located in the outpatient substance use clinic. The psychiatrist exercises independent clinical judgment in their area of practice and is supervised by the Psychiatry Section Chief (or designee).
