    Summary/Objective: The Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (GVRA) is seeking candidates for high visibility positions in our Vocational Rehabilitation Program. GVRA offers candidates the opportunity to work with community partners, organizations, and internal and external stakeholders throughout the state to develop partnerships with education and leverage resources. Under broad supervision, provide vocational rehabilitation (VR) services to individuals with disabilities to facilitate competitive and integrated employment outcomes. Provides vocational counseling and guidance to determine eligibility and, develop a vocationally focused plan with eligible individuals leading to successful employment outcomes. Mentors and trains counselors. Serves as lead counselor for the office or area of assignment and may provide clinical supervision for graduate student interns, Counselor 1, Counselor 2, and other staff members, as assigned. Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Conducts interviews with VR participants (potentially eligible individuals, applicants, and clients) to determine need and interest in VR services. * Determines eligibility, identifies the order of selection, conducts a comprehensive needs assessment, develops an individualized plan for employment, and authorizes services. * Reviews and interprets education, vocational, psychological, and medical information. * Travels within the caseload assignment or assigned school areas to meet with individuals, providers, partners, and other outreach. * Counsels and guides participants throughout the rehabilitation process, including establishing employment goals, facilitating job search efforts, maintaining contact with clients, and moving the case to closure. * Monitors client movement through the VR process and ensures timely provision of services. * Provides information to educate the public, other agencies, vendors, and potential customers about rehabilitation services. * Provides individualized assessment of employment development for the purpose of student goal planning, as well as rehabilitation team planning. * Creates and maintains a high-performance environment characterized by positive leadership, ethical decision-making, effective case management that safeguards client welfare, strong team orientation, and a culture focused on the individual's seeking assistance from GVRA. * Adheres to internal controls when authorizing expenditures to ensure fiscal decisions are reasonable, appropriate, allocable, and necessary for vocational rehabilitation funds. * Documents accurately and timely in client information system while adhering to the GVRA Client Services Policy Manual and federal regulations of the Rehabilitation Act, as amended by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act (WIOA). * In collaboration with the Policy, Training, and Strategic Initiatives, the District Manager and Supervisor, provides counselor development and training. May be required to be subject matter expert on topics identified by audit findings or skill deficiencies. * Serves as a mentor to other counselors and staff members, including approval of work products (such as Individualized Plan for Employment development). * Provides feedback to Office Supervisor regarding observations and performance of fellow counselors. * Observes rules of confidentiality as stated by departmental guidelines in the dissemination and interpretation of test results and other case file information. * May be responsible for handling complex cases. * May be responsible for attending community and external partner meetings. * Other duties as assigned. Coordinates residents' medication supplies, monitors medication inventories and refills, and audits all medication documentation. * Coordinates residents' medication supplies upon admission, during stay, and prior to discharge. * Monitors medication inventories and coordinates refills as needed to ensure residents have adequate supplies. * Assists in monitoring medication funds for residents' medication and physician copayments. * Audits all documentation of residents' medications and medical supplies (i.e. MARs, progress notes, inventories, refill logbooks…) to ensure that all records follow CIH/ECRH/DBHDD regulations. Assess, create, and evaluate residents' recovery needs. a. Conducts and coordinates assessments with residents upon admission. b. Educates staff regarding assessments and how the results pertain to the residents' treatment goals. c. Interventions are provided by licensed behavioral health professionals designed to prevent out of community treatment or hospitalization. In addition to Pathways Center's Adult and Child Centers, Pathways Center's Licensed Counselors are part of Coweta County's emergency response program called Coweta CARES. Coweta CARES is a unique para-medicine program that is designed to address behavioral health crisis calls to 911. Coweta CARES is a team of licensed clinicians and paramedics who work collaboratively to stabilize individuals who are experiencing behavioral health crises. The goal is to reduce unnecessary hospitalization and emergency department presentations. The Licensed Counselor for the Care Campus rotates throughout all programs to ensure timely and quality care; therefore the schedule will vary. The Licensed Counselor role has performance targets/productivity expectations to ensure quality care as well as compliance with regulatory and governing entities. Responsibilities for the Licensed Counselor will include but not be limited to the following: □ Provides patients/clients with the psychosocial and therapeutic support needed to cope with behavioral health crisis and/or detoxification □ Completes Behavioral Health Assessments (BHA's) as a part of the intake process within the required timeframes. Conducts clinical interviews with the residents and is able to make a diagnostic impression based on clinical assessment □ Works with other healthcare team members to prepare for and facilitate individual and group discussions on the unit with patients/clients to promote and reinforce the recovery process □ Provides individual therapy and may conduct family sessions as needed to help facilitate a successful transition back into the community □ Develops treatment plans collaboratively with the patient/client and input from all treatment team members □ Provides professional level therapeutic services to persons with mental illness and/or addictive disease □ Works alongside EMS personnel in the Coweta Cares program □ Provides risk assessment and crisis intervention □ Facilitates the admission process and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients and Care Campus healthcare team Master's degree in social work and counseling from an accredited college or university and eligibility to be licensed and two (2) years of supervised experience in the area of assignment or two years of experience at the lower level Social Worker, Licensed 1 (HCP050) or position equivalent. FOR THIS TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT, STATE LAW REQUIRES A NATIONAL AND STATE BACKGROUND CHECK AS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT. Under general supervision, this position will serve as psychologist's assistant providing services primarily on an AMH unit. Will provide individual and small group therapy on psychosis, mania, depression, anxiety, etc. Will be responsible for crisis management and completing safety plans, behavioral guidelines, substance abuse, behavioral assessment, and behavioral interventions as needed. This position develops, implements, and is responsible for the integrity of behavior support plans. Recognizes and discusses potential behavioral problems with the treatment team. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree or higher qualification, in clinical/counseling psychology, or closely related field.
