    The Medical Billing Technician provides advanced-level clerical support and routine financial processing for accounts receivable. Under general supervision, performs a variety of billing functions that includes the preparation and distribution of invoices, processing payments and payment approval. Analyzes billing data and prepares reports for revenue and expenditures. Duties & Responsibilities: * Prepares and submits electronic claims for services provided, tracks outstanding claims, posts payments, and prepares bills to consumers for deductibles, co-pays, or non-covered services. * Evaluates billing information provided by the client and intake worker for completeness and accuracy. Reviews diagnostic information and codes. * Enters claims payments and other transactions into accounting system. * Tracks outstanding claims and payment denials. * Reconciles routine issues with the service provider and resubmits claims or accepts provider decisions on denied coverage. * Balances and reconciles client account records. * Prepares billing and claims reposts using Microsoft Excel and Word. * Maintains billing and related records. * Verify Commercial Insurance, Medicaid, Medicare & CMO payers daily from Front Desk Schedule for all Outpatient Centers and specialty programs as needed. * Complete Pre-visit checklist for new clients and verify benefits and eligibility as needed for all Outpatient Centers and specialty programs. * Provides billing and claims support for external partner CBS through a business management agreement, as needed. * Other related duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED AND Two (2) years of bookkeeping experience in an office environment. Preferred Qualifications: * Extensive knowledge of the verification of insurance process via Navi Net and Medicaid Web Portal * Experience providing excellent service to a variety of internal and external customers. * The ability to multitask and take initiative to solve problems. * Two years of experience with insurance, billing, authorization, and collections * Knowledge of CPT, ICD9 & ICD10 coding * Experience with Care Logic electronic health record * Experience working in a Behavioral Health agency. * Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel and Word. * Medical Billing Certification Requirements/Competencies: * Must be able to stand from a kneeling or sitting position without using your hands (Certification Requirement). * Must be able to stand, sit, and kneel for long periods of time. * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, move about, hear and speak. * Must be able to lift 20 pounds. * Must be able to respond quickly to sounds. * Must have valid Georgia driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy. * Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting) * Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens. * Any combination of training and experience would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities. Responsibilities * Conduct testing and routine maintenance of substation relaying (electro-mechanical, solid state, and microprocessor types), control systems, and voltage regulation equipment. * Calibrate protective relays and apply relay settings according to standards and operational requirements. * Program Load Tap Changing (LTC) and voltage regulator controllers. * Perform troubleshooting and repairs on substation relays and control devices within distribution substations. * Plan and execute testing activities efficiently, adhering to schedules while ensuring service continuity. * Maintain accurate documentation of testing procedures, results, and equipment configurations. Duties Performs various manual and mechanical work functions associated with installation, repair, maintenance, and painting of gas meters and related equipment, which may include installing/removing gas meters, rebuilding/repairing meters, installing ERTS, programming ERTS, rebuilding/repairing regulators, detecting gas leaks, grinding/greasing valves, rebuilding valves, conducting odorization tests, testing regulators, calibrating meters, calibrating gas regulators, calibrating pressure recorders, changing charts, bead blasting meters, painting meters, digging holes, etc. Maintains meter systems and regulator systems; services town border stations; takes odorant level readings in system; maintains propane plants and programs ERTS on meters. Tests accuracy of meters and related equipment to ensure compliance with established standards; performs calibrations. Operates a variety of equipment, machinery and tools associated with the installation, repair and maintenance of gas meters and related systems, which may include a utility truck, transfer prover, bell prover, odorator, drill press, grinder, pipe threader, air compressor, impact driver, soldering gun, torch, post hole digger, shovel, rake, gauges, mechanic tools, diagnostic instruments, etc. Transports, loads and unloads various equipment and materials used in projects. Conducts required/necessary annual tests; regulator tests, town border station tests, large firm meter testing. Performs general maintenance tasks necessary to keep machinery, equipment, tools and facilities in operable condition, which may include inspecting equipment, checking fluid levels, replacing fluids, greasing equipment, washing/cleaning equipment, cleaning shop and work areas, etc.; monitors equipment operations to maintain efficiency and safety; reports faulty equipment. Maintains inventory of departmental equipment, tools, supplies and materials; conducts physical counts of materials. Reads gas meters and ERTS; calculates and records gas consumption of customers and town border stations; transports readings. Maintains records of meter readings, gas pressure changes, temperature changes, load changes, work performed, and related activities. Prepares or completes various forms, correspondence, odor reports, time sheets, charts, and other documents. Receives various forms, reports, charts, meter readings, maps, blueprints, manuals, or other documentation; reviews, completes, processes, forwards or retains. Operates a computer to enter, retrieve, review or modify data in computer database; verifies accuracy of entered data; makes corrections. Communicates with supervisor, employees, city departments, customers, the public, and other individuals to coordinate work activities, review status of work, exchange information, or resolve problems. Communicates via telephone and/or two-way radio; provides information; takes and relays messages; responds to requests for service.
