    As the RYDC Substance Use Intervention Counselor, the main responsibilities include providing counseling services to youth and completing required documentation. Other responsibilities include participates in Behavioral Health Treatment Team and other multiservice team meetings when available. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: * Oversees local RYDC Substance Use Intervention Treatment Services (SUITS) caseload. * Monitors and updates OBHS-SUTS Reports. * Provides Brief Challenges via group and/or individual sessions. * Completes all required documentation per DJJ SUITS Policies 12.20, 12.25 and DJJ Policies 5.5 and 5.8 * Completes initial trainings for Brief Challenges (3 days) * Participates in treatment team meetings when available. * Communicates Substance Use treatment information to be relayed to treatment team members. * Provides OBHS approved Evidence Based Treatment with full fidelity. * Complete discharge summaries on residents prior to release and coordinates aftercare arrangements * Participates in YCRT meetings when available and assist with planning aftercare needs of youth by communicating via email the necessary information to the youth's YCRT. * Participates in facility wide PBIS events and meetings when available. * Monitors inventory of evidence-based program materials and communicates with their SUTS Regional Administrator when they need more EBP materials. * Provides Substance Use Intervention Treatment Services to youth that are compliant with all DJJ Policies and Procedures Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in a counseling related field (E.g., Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage & Family, Rehab. Counseling) from an accredited college or university. Preferred Qualifications: * Master's degree in a clinical counseling related field (E.g., Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage & Family, Rehab. Counseling) from an accredited college or university And One to Five years' experience in the behavioral health field. * Georgia licensure or eligible for licensure in a mental health field. * Seven Challenges certified Counselor in a juvenile correction facility or adolescent residential treatment setting.
