The Research Grant Specialist works with principal investigator to complete and submit federal and non- federal grants and serves as the liaison between department or research groups and sponsored research funds administration, accounting, and finance departments. This role generally performs all Pre- and Post- award administrative functions, including, but not limited to, ensuring internal documents are prepared and routed for signature and processing, monitoring grant accounts, tracking all expenses, providing grant and financial reconciliation, and research-related financial reporting. Ensures compliance with all internal policies, federal and local agency requirements including the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and local Institutional Review Board.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Works with principal investigator to complete and submit federal and non-federal grants.
Works as the liaison between department or research group and sponsored research funds administration, accounting, and finance departments.
Generally, performs all Pre-and Post- award administrative functions.
Ensures internal documents are prepared and routed for signature and processing.
Monitors grant accounts, tracks all expenses, provides grant and financial reconciliation, and research-related financial reporting.
Monitors Time & Effort for accurate reporting and performs necessary funding corrections via direct cost transfer requests.
Responsible for grant close out.
Identifies opportunities for research funding opportunities.
May negotiate budgets for clinical trials.
May assist with research participant billing.
Ensures compliance with internal policies and procedures, all federal and local agencies including the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and local Institutional Review Board.
Maintains research practices using Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
Maintains strict patient confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations and applicable law.
Participates in required training and education programs.
Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma is required. Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
Experience and Skills:
Three (3) years of experience in administration of research grants, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Establishes effective working relationships with cross-functional team(s)
Excellent verbal/written communication skills and solid understanding of federal and major funding agency grant submission guidelines.
Experience working with multi-PI proposals.
Experience with preparation of general grant submission components, including the preparation of progress and financial reports.
Experience with preparation of scientific manuscripts and abstracts.
Proficiency with eRA commons, grants.gov, NIH RePORTER, Federal Reporter, and other related proposal submission systems.
Knowledge of expense tracking software required. Knowledge of general accounting and financial analysis required.
Knowledge of PeopleSoft strongly preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and related applications required. Demonstrated ability to create and utilize Excel spreadsheets for budget and data tracking.
Ability to identify problems and resourcefulness to resolve them independently using own initiative.
Able to handle multiple tasks with short timelines, to prioritize work, and to complete assignments in a timely, accurate manner.

The Complete Vehicle Technical Writer is responsible for documenting complaints, malfunctions, findings, or anomalies arising from the Complete Vehicle Verification and Validation in the metropolitan area of California on public roads, according to Porsche's proprietary testing systems and methodologies. The vehicles descend from Porsche's development process and reflect the current quality and development levels of the corresponding model ranges. As the vehicles mature, it is necessary to have the vehicles
updated, especially with regards to the software and hardware, in order to ensure that any findings and/or complaints occurred are arising from the latest, released versions and are thus relevant. The main task is the technical documentation and communication of testing results into Porsche's proprietary systems and to responsible project coordinators and engineers. Roles & Responsibilities
• Technical documentation and communication of anomalies, complaints, findings, analysis results and performed tests/activities
• Operational coordination and performance of complaint management in an interfacing function to the cross-departmental stakeholders at PAG and PEG

Qualifications
Required qualifications include:

Maintain controlled document revisions and versioning through Harbinger's document management system.
Interface with Service Engineering to incorporate field learnings, diagnostic insights, and corrective actions into updated documents.
Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering to document installation procedures, serviceability notes, and configuration changes.
Prepare illustrations, diagrams, and step-by-step visuals (or collaborate with illustrators) to enhance technical clarity.
Support training development by providing content, documentation, and visuals for technician certification programs.
Participate in technical reviews, design reviews, and cross-functional product meetings to anticipate documentation needs ahead of release.
Assist with the creation of service tool documentation, special tool instructions, and equipment usage guides.
Publish documents electronically to the service portal and ensure accessibility, searchability, and clarity for service providers.
Perform other related duties or participate in meetings as assigned by management.
What You'll Need
Excellent communicator with superior written, verbal, and technical communication skills.
Proven experience authoring technical documentation in a service, automotive, EV, or mechanical product environment.
Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities, particularly in interpreting engineering data and translating it into technician-focused content.
Demonstrated capacity for project management with the ability to manage multiple assignments and competing deadlines.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and “seek to understand” before producing content.
Demonstrated DWYSSWYD mindset (Do What You Say, Say What You Do) with timely follow-up, proactive communication, and accountability.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with document control systems, illustration tools, or content management systems preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with changing priorities.
Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Creative and flexible problem solver with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
Direct experience writing documentation for Electric Vehicles (EVs), high-voltage battery systems, or modern vehicle networks (CAN).
Familiarity with industry standards for technical publications (e.g., S1000D or similar structured authoring methodologies).
Experience with illustrated parts catalogs (IPCs) or parts information systems.
