**Job Description**
We are presently seeking a seasoned **Quality Engineer** that will be responsible for supporting manufacturing process improvements, making a significant contribution to the strategic goal of quality improvement. This role will lead continuous efforts in meeting quality, cost, and on-time delivery while assuring customer expectations and supplier quality management. This role is also responsible for supporting and maintaining the site Quality Management System to meet ISO9001:2015 and AS9100C implementation.
Your responsibilities:
+ Plan and manage product quality, product qualification, and design validation;
+ Process analysis and improvement through the implementation of statistical tools and Six Sigma methodology;
+ Lead and participate in specific production yield improvement projects;
+ Participate and contribute in New Product Introduction Process and understand specification development and verification upon transition to production;
+ Carry out failure analysis on customer returns and work with the customer to resolve quality issues;
+ Partner with suppliers to carry out failure analysis and ensure supplier corrected the issues to prevent re-occurrence;
+ Assist in training and maintenance of the site Quality Management Systems: ISO9001:2015 and the implementation of maintenance of AS9100C;
+ Support the site's Corrective and Preventative action process including proper closure and root cause analysis;
+ Support and where applicable conduct internal and external audits;
+ Quality performance analysis and reporting (suppliers and customers);
+ Lead Material Review Board and disposition of Non-Conforming Materials.
Your requirements:
+ Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Industrial, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred with experience in a manufacturing and/or regulatory environment;
+ A minimum of five (5) years' of experience will be considered. Background in Aviation, Space and Defense manufacturing environment (an asset);
+ Formal training in statistical techniques in a manufacturing environment with Six Sigma training and certification is highly desired;
+ Ability to take responsibility for quality of all products including assembly, testing and yields. Understanding and familiar design control processes including: design history files, manufacturing process instructions, MRB, failure analysis and corrective/preventive actions and verification testing;
+ Knowledge and experience with continuous improvement techniques such as Lean Enterprise, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc. is desirable;
+ Experience with NPI process management and product quality planning is a plus. Experience working with supplier quality management is desirable;
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficient in MS Office and MS Project is preferred;
+ ASQ certified Quality Engineer and or ASQ certified Black Belt is beneficial;

Responsibilities Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Leadership
Serve as a TPM subject matter expert, driving implementation of MCC's TPM pillars (Focused Improvement, Autonomous Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, Early Equipment Management, and Skills Development).
Partner with plant leadership to design and execute site-specific TPM deployment roadmaps and maturity assessments.
Lead cross-functional kaizen events to identify equipment losses, eliminate chronic issues, and improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
Coach maintenance and operations teams in root cause analysis, condition-based monitoring, and daily equipment care standards.
Champion Autonomous Maintenance by training operators in basic inspection, cleaning, and lubrication activities to increase equipment ownership and engagement.
Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for reliability, including MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), MTTR (Mean Time To Repair), and OEE.
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
Ensure all equipment meets MCC safety, quality, and operational standards.
Lead the development and execution of robust preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Audit and improve AssetEssentials (or other CMMS) data accuracy, utilization, and reporting to enable effective decision-making.
Analyze failure modes, equipment histories, and maintenance data to identify improvement opportunities.
Partner with engineering and operations to plan equipment upgrades or replacements to improve reliability.
Mentor and coach Maintenance teams to build a proactive, data-driven reliability mindset.
Training & Capability Building
Design and facilitate training programs for maintenance and production personnel on TPM, equipment care, and reliability fundamentals.
Develop standard work and visual controls to support consistent maintenance practices across MCC sites.
Collaborate with Corporate Standards Committees to align training content with global TPM deployment and corporate best practices.
Communicate training plans and progress to site leadership, ensuring accountability and alignment to TPM goals.
Travel
Travel may be required up to 75%, including daily, overnight, or extended stays based on business needs (e.g., 10 days on / 4 days off). Travel frequency will be determined by the supervisor based on TPM, preventive maintenance, and training priorities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, Facility Management, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 10 years of reliability, maintenance, or operations experience in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated expertise implementing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) or similar reliability-centered maintenance systems.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Proven success leading maintenance teams and improving equipment performance in a lean manufacturing setting.
Experience facilitating TPM kaizens, OEE improvement projects, or AM/PM pillar activities.
Familiarity with CMMS (AssetEssentials or equivalent) and maintenance data analytics.
Preferred Skills
Proven ability to lead TPM deployment or coach site teams through TPM maturity stages.

Developing, implementing, and operating manufacturing process documentation, including Design for Assembly (DFA), Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Build Processes, Process Control Plans, PFMEA, Risk Assessments, Safety Systems, and Launch Readiness.
Supporting the specification and design of equipment layouts and material flows.
Requisitioning new and modified tooling and equipment required for assembly, including specification, procurement, commissioning, installation, and validation.
Supporting the production team during the industrialization phases to enhance production quality and efficiency.
Assisting with prototype builds according to project delivery requirements, including early validation of production processes and tooling.
Developing assembly work standards to support both the prototype phase (build books) and the transfer to standard work instructions for production.
Continually improving manufacturing processes to meet cost, quality, and delivery performance targets through series production.
Ensuring quality standards are achieved in a series production environment.
Essential technical and professional skills, knowledge, and qualifications:
Industry experience in automotive, marine, or aerospace. Preferred experience Powertrain Systems (ICE).
Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing principles.
Understanding of relevant manufacturing methods, including detailed drawing dimensioning and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Design and CAD experience for tooling and fixtures, virtual builds, factory layouts (2D/3D), and assembly equipment.
Demonstrable knowledge of various manufacturing processes and components used in assembly, including DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, Capability Studies, Gauge R&R, work instructions, equipment acceptance, and quality gates (e.g., End of Line testing).
Experience in industrialization and launch readiness.
Experience with ISO standards for best manufacturing practices and processes. (i.e. ISO 9001/ IATF 16946, ISO 14001).
Exceptional 8D problem-solving skills.
Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
Preferred experience with vision systems (i.e. Cognex, Keyence).
Required Qualifications
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, electrical engineering, or related field.
5+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing or process engineering.
A minimum of 2 years' experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) process engineering or a similar role, preferably within the automotive sector, where skills can be transferred to the responsibilities outlined above.
