These exams are very complex and involve advanced skill in echo imaging, application judgment, and advanced knowledge in cardiac anatomy. The Echocardiograph Technician/Sonographer must have advanced knowledge in cardiac anatomy structure, including: normal, abnormal, surgical repairs, and shunt repairs. This position requires the ability to image: M-Mode, real-time, Doppler wave and color flow mapping, digital clipping, and must be proficient in using Cardiology Information systems and electronic medical record. This position takes call and must rotate with other Sonographers traveling to outside hospitals when requested.
This position will collaborate interdepartmentally with hospital operations and outpatient service departments. CPR Certification is required. Responsible for complying with an effective hospital-wide program for surveillance, prevention, and infection control. Recognize and advocate for each patient being an individual with unique healthcare needs. Provides considerate respectful care. Job Description:
The Registered Echo Technologist performs and assists with cardiovascular procedures ordered by physicians to assist in the diagnosis of patients. Performs a wide variety of related duties as assigned, including assisting the physician and staff with other non-invasive cardiopulmonary procedures.

What you can expect:

Your primary work schedule will be a Full-Time position: The PCT will be based at our site dialysis den in the Laurels of Gahanna and may be asked to support additional surrounding sites depending on business needs. Summary:
The duties of this position includes but is not limited to accurate, precise, and timely patient test results for the diagnosis and management of human illness. Position utilizes automation and computerization, and manual methods. Responsible for quality control and instrument operation, maintenance and troubleshooting. Position handles blood, tissue, fecal matter, sputum, urine, spinal fluid and other body fluids. Specimens may be contaminated with infectious diseases including HIV and other blood borne pathogens.
Responsibilities And Duties:
1. 55%
Uses critical thinking, academic theory, facilitation and leadership abilities, and advanced customer service skills. Examples include but are not limited to: The performance of complex analysis of all body fluids and tissues. Determining the reliability of all analytic data before releasing as patient measurement for diagnosis and treatment. Interpreting information to make judgmental decisions and troubleshooting technical procedure and instruments. Utilizing knowledge of medical correlation of data, laboratory parameters, physiologic factors, medication effects, and specific medical treatments to assess the validity of laboratory data. Using appropriate testing techniques to evaluate new testing methodologies and practices. Demonstrating safety and infection control practices. Providing mentorship to new lab associates and students.
2. 15%
Customer service to clinicians and clients. Must be comfortable and professional on the telephone, able to communicate with physician staff office, clinical staff, and all laboratory associates. Must be able to communicate with patients and their families, using service recovery when necessary.
3. 20%
Quality assurance functions and equipment maintenance functions. Performs quality control checks on each procedure, equipment, reagents, stains, etc. Documents and interprets all QC data used by technologists to determine validity of patient results and verify instrument performance. Documents and reviews maintenance logs to assure optimum system performance, guaranteeing valid data and eliminating costly, time-consuming equipment failures.
4. 5%
Continuing Education and Competencies. Remains current in field. Trains new employees and students. Maintains competencies, mandatory education requirements (ACE).

Miscellaneous Duties. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

The telemetry monitor technician has duties related to monitoring, reporting, and recording cardiac rhythms and changes in cardiac rhythm accurately, per specific guidelines. This position is represented by a collective bargaining agreement.

Observes and accurately interprets cardiac monitors and reports changes in baseline rhythm patterns.
Documents patient data per policy under the direct supervision of RN/LPN or designated healthcare professional.
Provides support to RN by assisting with patient care, retrieving supplies from other departments, and delivering specimens or picking up blood supplies from the laboratory.
Provides clerical support and coordinates communication to support the function of the nursing unit.
Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills, including telephone, electronic, and in person. Relays clear, concise information uses courtesy and tact in relating to patients/visitors, employees, and providers, and escalates issues when appropriate using established protocols and the chain of command.
Attends and participates in unit/department meetings per unit policy and participates in required programs.
Participates in quality improvement studies and projects as directed.
Requires sitting for prolonged periods.

The Medication Technician is responsible for safely administering medications to residents in a healthcare, long-term care, or assisted living facility, ensuring compliance with physician orders, facility protocols, and state regulations. This role involves monitoring residents' health, reporting any adverse reactions to nursing staff, and providing compassionate, resident-centered care. The Medication Technician works closely with the nursing team to support residents' overall well-being and maintain accurate medication records.
Key Responsibilities:
Medication Administration:
Administer prescribed medications to residents in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
Follow the five rights of medication administration: right patient, right drug, right dose, right route, and right time.
Monitor residents for any side effects or adverse reactions and report concerns to the supervising nurse or physician.
Ensure proper documentation of medication administration in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Resident Care and Support:
Provide compassionate care and assistance to residents, addressing their personal needs and concerns.
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) when necessary, such as grooming, feeding, and mobility.
Ensure that residents are comfortable and monitor their overall health condition, communicating any changes to the nursing staff.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure that medication storage, handling, and administration comply with all state and facility regulations.
Follow infection control protocols and safety procedures to ensure a clean and safe environment for residents.
Participate in audits, inspections, and medication reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with facility policies.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with RNs, LPNs, and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to ensure coordinated and holistic care for residents.
Communicate effectively with residents and their families, addressing questions and providing updates on care.
Respond to emergency situations promptly and assist nursing staff as needed.
Documentation and Reporting:
Accurately document all medication administration and any changes in residents' conditions in the EHR system.
Report any medication errors or discrepancies immediately to the supervising nurse and follow facility procedures for incident reporting.
Participate in care planning meetings as required, providing input on residents' medication needs and overall health status.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certification: Medication Technician certification. Certification in CPR and First Aid preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare, long-term care, or assisted living setting is preferred but not required.
Skills:
