Working with facilities engineers, they will need to drive root cause failure analysis associated with the process equipment and kit integrity for the asset. Key Accountabilities:Respond to equipment breakdowns and participate in RCFA investigations to determine root cause. Perform field wide flare monitoring and repair flare systems. Perform field wide tank pressure monitoring and repair of upset conditions to mitigate GHG emissions. Single point of accountability for defect identification, validation, and corrective action execution associated with Permian LDAR program and supplemental survey mechanisms including fixed wing quantification flights and continuous monitoring. Perform preventative maintenance as driven by the work management system and provide quality detail and feedback to work completed and discovered. Perform corrective maintenance using higher order skills including trouble shooting, analysis, problem solving, critical thinking, diagnostic and reasoning ability. Works with engineering to evaluate surface kit reliability and pursue predictive maintenance analytics. You may annually contribute $22,500 or 100% of your includible compensation, whichever is less. Individuals age 50 or older may contribute to their plan, up to $30,000. The Roth IRA (after tax) is also now available. Vacation: Maximum earned vacation is 10 days each year up to 3 years; 15 days after 3 years; 20 days after 10 years; and 23 days after 20 years. Demonstrates a commitment and supports a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion. * Provide technical assistance to all Water Reclamation Departments: operations, maintenance, process control, electrical, laboratory, regulatory, and other related technical areas. * Help ensure permit compliance and monitoring. Creates reporting for agencies (Department of Environmental Quality) and compliance reasons. Prepares quarterly, semi-annual, and annual regulatory reports for air and stormwater permits. * Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize processes. Coordinates operational strategies at H.L. Mooney. * Involved in regulatory issues affecting the plant. * Direct and participate in data analysis. * Interface extensively with engineering consultants, plant contractors, and vendors. * Serve as SCADA team champion. * Serve as Environmental Management System team coordinator. * Administers industrial pretreatment program to prevent water quality violations, process inhibition, and air or 503 permit violations. * Prepare budgets and CIP proposals including justification and cost analysis and savings program. * Prepares memoranda, letters, reports, and special studies. * Assist in personnel administration. * Attend various staff and project meetings. Assist in long-range strategic planning and budgeting. * Plan and design start-ups and advise operators of new, expanded, or modified facilities. * Attends various conferences, seminars, and workshops. * Provide oversight for odor control, automation, sustainability, energy efficiency, and plant safety. * Prepare graphic demonstrations of data for review. * Participate on state and regional committees as assigned. * Operate a Prince William Water vehicle. * May be deemed essential at any time. * Perform other duties as assigned or required. Essential Competencies: * Knowledge of the principles, concepts, and practices of engineering as applied to the operation of wastewater treatment plants; computer equipment and software applications related to assignment; principles of report writing and correspondence; English usage, spelling, and grammar. * Ability to perform all aspects of wastewater treatment plant operations; assess wastewater treatment plant operations, weigh alternatives, and decide/recommend appropriate courses of action; operate computer equipment and software applications related to assignment; communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others encountered in the work. Minimum Education and Work Experience: * Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering. * Five or more years of experience in the field of water reclamation facility operation. * Or a combination of education and experience as described above. Required Licenses/Certifications and Other Special Requirements: * Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license consistent with Prince William Water policy requirements. * Class I Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR) Wastewater License upon hire or required to obtain and maintain within two years of employment in this position.
