We are an Environmental Consulting company seeking a full-time I.T. Helpdesk Support Technician 1 to work primarily on-site with a dynamic team and a rapidly growing company in the Dallas area. We are looking for an individual with a strong, intermediate level background in computer repair, troubleshooting, and familiarity with Windows 10/11 and the Microsoft 365 suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive, etc.). Our IT department is seeking a dedicated IT Desktop Support Associate to join our team on a full-time basis. The associate will be responsible for supporting our IT members during non-traditional hours with potential leadership responsibilities.
Primary Responsibilities:
• User Account Management: Administer user accounts across different platforms, including account creation, password resets, MFA (Two-Factor Authentication) management, disabling accounts, and archiving user data.
• Technical Support: Provide desktop and laptop support, including, on-call and I.T. help to support I.T. techs and MSP in our overseas locations during work shift. Coordinate shipping, delivery, and returns of IT equipment. Provide remote support and guidance, particularly for overseas team members.
• Help Desk Tickets: Respond to and resolve help desk tickets, escalating issues as needed and ensuring timely resolution to maintain high client satisfaction.
• Documentation: Manage and update IT requests and tickets to support users and clients, assist with technical documentation to improve internal processes.
• Asset Management: Participate in IT asset management and assist with IT projects, such as infrastructure upgrades.
• Collaboration: Work with the IT team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and continuous improvement of IT services. Assist overseas IT team members with tickets and issues, maintaining Quality Assurance (QA) & SLA times.
Work Environment, Hours, & Benefits:
This position will cover the overnight shift from 12:00 AM to 9:00 AM (Central Time), Monday to Friday or Sunday to Thursday. Training will take place over six to twelve weeks during normal business hours in our Dallas Corporate office before transitioning to the night shift.
This role is based in our Dallas corporate office, near the 635 and 75 High Five Interchange. Specific days for on-site versus remote work will be determined based on operational needs. EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree or relevant experience working in a membership association required.
Minimum of 2+ years of experience working in a customer service environment.
Experience working at a County Farm Bureau.
Intermediate or higher proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required, working proficiency in Access and PowerPoint.
Proficiency in maintaining customer or membership records within a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database preferred.
General knowledge of California agriculture preferred.

Under the general supervision of the Information Technology Supervisor II, the Information Technology Associate (ITA) is responsible for working in the field as the Wireless Mobile Video and Audio Recording System (WMVARS) representative and assistant to the Field Division Administrator (DAdmin). The ITA will specialize in WMVARS and body worn camera (BWC) system support for the California Highway Patrol. This position will provide local information technology (IT) support to the field Divisions, and conduct trainings, assist with the roll-out, and address maintenance and support issues during the operation of the systems. This also includes product inspections, system tests, site inspections, and staff training with members of the continuing technical support and system administration team. This includes, but is not limited to deployment, implementation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and administrative support statewide. The ITA will monitor, triage, and remediate cybersecurity issues and vulnerabilities. The ITA will also assist the Field DAdmin in statewide local/wide area network (LAN/WAN) administration, troubleshooting issues, technical support, and share in a variety of group responsibilities according the Department's needs. Technical Knowledge and Skill
* Working knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral equipment used in a State of California enterprise environment
* Experience supporting Windows-based operating systems and standard State desktop applications
* Familiarity with basic networking concepts, including LAN/WAN connectivity, VPN access, and wireless networking
* Experience providing Tier 1 and/or Tier 2 technical support in a help desk or service desk environment
* Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot software, hardware, and peripheral devices in accordance with departmental standards
* Exposure to enterprise systems, cloud-based applications, and collaboration tools used in government operations

Emergency Management and Operational Support
* Ability to provide IT support in a 24/7 operational environment, including Emergency Operations Center (EOC) activations

* Understanding of the importance of system availability, redundancy, and continuity of operations in an emergency management setting
* Willingness to work extended hours, shift work, or on-call assignments during emergencies or disasters
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
* Ability to quickly assess technical issues and implement effective solutions under operational constraints
* Strong attention to detail when documenting incidents, system changes, and resolutions
* Ability to follow escalation protocols and communicate system impacts clearly
Communication and Customer Service
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff
* Demonstrated customer service skills when supporting executive staff, field personnel, and EOC users
* Ability to work collaboratively with IT teams, program areas, and external partners
Organizational and Work Management Skills
* Ability to manage multiple support requests and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Experience working within established policies, procedures, and security standards
* Dependability, professionalism, and the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Professional Experience and Education
* Coursework or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
* Experience working in a State of California department or other public-sector environment
* Familiarity with CalOES systems, emergency management tools, or State IT policies (desirable)
Additional Desirable Attributes
* Understanding of IT service management concepts (e.g., ITIL practices)
* Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving operational requirements
