ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled. * Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair needs. * Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications. * Participate in action planning process * Track/record time and all repair parts using work orders & maintenance management system * Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work. * Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems. * Install equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications. * Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment. * Follows basic blueprints, specifications or verbal instructions and plans the intended location of wiring and equipment. * Measure, cut, assemble and install electrical wiring and conduit, stripping, splicing and soldering as necessary. * Attaches cables and wiring to the incoming electrical service and to various fixtures and machines that use electricity. * Perform basic adjustments and replace defective or improperly functioning circuitry and electronics components * Set up, operate, and tend welding machines that join or bond components to fabricate metal products or assemblies. * All other duties assigned by supervisor. Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Electrician to perform maintenance operations in the Thonotosassa, FL area. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway lighting repair and maintenance and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures. Duties and Responsibilities Keep generator, lighting, and electrical systems in working order. Diagnose problems and then repair/replace defective parts. Need to act quickly when a breakdown occurs, must be able to tell management whether the problem can be corrected and whether business can continue as usual. If regular activities must be stopped, the electrician will have to estimate how long a shutdown will last. Make periodic inspection for new electrical services (120v, 240v and 480v three phase), including wiring, conduit, panels, breakers, contractors, relays, timers and controls Performs electrical maintenance and repair work; install/replace fixtures, switches, receptacles and wiring. Operates a variety of standard power tools, equipment and trenchers in electrical installations, maintenance and repair activities on a regular basis Maintains records and logs as needed Keep up to date documentation.
