Responsibilities We are seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Lead Analyst in Fort Irwin, CA to support our Deep Space Network (DSN) Operations and Maintenance O&M contract with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) and NASA in Fort Irwin, CA. The Deep Space Network is NASA's international array of giant radio antennas that supports interplanetary spacecraft missions, plus a few that orbit Earth. The DSN also provides radar and radio astronomy observations that improve our understanding of the solar system and the larger universe. The antennas of the Deep Space Network are the indispensable link to explorers venturing beyond the moon. Responsibilities: Program & Project Leadership Lead or support technical EHS activities for assigned projects, programs, or self-initiated initiatives. Job Requirements Mandatory: * Five years of satisfactory experience in preparing and enforcing safety programs on contracts of similar size and complexity. * If possessing a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification, must possess five years of satisfactory experience in preparing and enforcing safety programs on contracts of similar size and complexity within the last three years. * Completed the OSHA 30-hour construction safety class or equivalent. * Must maintain competency through 24 hours of formal safety- and health-related coursework over four years. * Meets the requirements of EM 385-1-1 Section 1. * Skill in the use of MS Office Suite at an intermediate level. * Knowledge of generally accepted standards of workmanship in maintenance of facilities. * Knowledge of Government contracting terminologies and applications. * Ability to effectively communicate, read, and write in English. * Ability to be on site during the Government's regular working hours and shall be available on site within two hours after the Government's request after regular hours. * Knowledge of equipment maintenance. * Must have, and maintain, a valid Real ID driver's license with acceptable driving record. * Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment background check and drug screen test.
