Overview/Purpose:
The packer wraps or unwraps the product into a final, customer-ready container or a work-in-process container for further processing as required. Retail containers usually get packed into a case of specific count following the initial wrapping stage.
To assure that finished packaged goods are inserted into proper cartons/containers.
Tasks are to be completed while maintaining the highest safety, food safety and quality, cost, and GMP standards in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Sets up boxes and or bags or containers in preparation for the placement of unwrapped finished products or unwrapped bulk material for further processing.
Ensure containers are correctly labeled and items are oriented per specification.
Maintains proper count of pieces and number of containers packed in a case.
Applies special notes for container integrity and the specified placement code date or other labels or markings.
Maintain a safe and sanitary environment during the shift and will perform clean-up duties at the close of the shift.
Responsible for reporting food safety and quality issues and initiating action as necessary.

This role is a contributing member of our Airlite - Pennsylvania team, located in Nazareth, PA. As an Inspector Packer you are a key to continued growth and success of Airlite. This role is responsible for the inspection and packing of manufactured parts.
Essential Duties:
Gather packaging materials for specific products being produced, which includes, but is not limited to, shipping containers, liners, tape, stickers and dividers.
Assemble and tape boxes and trays.
Line and prepare boxes for packaging.
Remove manufactured product from re-stackable table and pack finished product per the company's assigned packaging and handling requirements.
Visually inspect product and package according to requirements, including but not limited to evaluating color, size and configuration and data and lamination requirements.
Reject product that does not meet quality requirements; follow appropriate escalation requirements.
Place approved product in boxes, seal boxes and palletize sealed boxes.
Place the appropriate case labeling on the verified product.
Communicate with Supervisor and/or appropriate escalation points regarding equipment status and production needs.
Maintain accurate data in assigned station computer logs (i.e. scrap barrel assignments, inspections, case data and product status.)
Meet safety, housekeeping, performance, and attendance standards.
Report food safety issues to management.
Other duties as assigned.

Assures a smooth flow of product through the packing process by responding to any product jams (bells, buzzers or lights), clearing the product jam and restarting the equipment properly and safely.
Follow safety procedures when starting, shutting down, un-jamming or tying the tail on a Bagger.

**Your Role at KIK**
The Blow Mold Packer is responsible for inspecting and packing plastic bottles, monitoring automated equipment to prevent jams, and reporting any defects or machine issues. The role supports smooth production flow by keeping lines clear, labeling finished goods accurately, assisting with inventory counts, and ensuring materials and equipment are ready for each shift.
**This role is based on site at our Mars, PA facility with the hours of Sunday-Thursday 3:30pm-11:40pm. The pay rate for this position is $19.57 per hour with a $2 dollar shift differential offered to 2nd and 3rd shift.**
**What You'll Be Doing**
+ Lifts and transports bundles of corrugated bulk containers filled with plastic bottles, assembles them into grouped boxes, and secures them with twine.
+ Inspects plastic bottles for defects such as holes, surface lines, or water spots, and packs all approved bottles into boxes.
+ Monitors automated machinery to prevent operational jams.
+ Notifies the supervisor of any defective bottles or equipment malfunctions.
+ Ensures conveyor belts remain clear of excess bottles.
+ Operates the bagger machine as required.
+ Alerts appropriate personnel when additional raw materials are needed.
+ Tracks the number of bottles produced during each shift.
+ Accurately labels boxes or bags with the correct date and shift identification, following designated color-coding requirements.
+ Supports departmental inventory activities and performs routine record-keeping tasks.
