Description
The position is responsible for providing basic technical patient care skills under the direction and supervision of the licensed healthcare practitioner. This position provides radiographic examinations on all age groups served by the entity within the scope of the Express Care Center or Outpatient department practice. The RadiologyTechnologist Express Care works in close collaboration with an assigned licensed healthcare practitioner to coordinate the patient flow in a manner which is efficient, professional, quality and safe for patient care. Job requires the employee to provide front desk duties including registration, deployment of legal, ethical and compliance related documents, collections, phlebotomy, EKG, vitals, X-Ray and lab services as well as other duties assigned to safely treat the patients. Supports all regulatory standards, National Patient Safety Goals, Universal Precautions, Infection Control Guidelines, patient and employee safety principles along with HIPAA policies. Communicates clearly with patient directly and over the telephone regarding medications, education, and counseling, per physician/advanced practitioner direction.

Degrees: Associates Licenses & Certifications: ARRT Registered Technologist - Radiography Basic Life Support Certified RadiologicTechnologist Additional Qualifications: Required: Graduate of an approved AMA Council on Education Program in Radiologic Technology. CRT - Certified RadiologicTechnologist in the State of Florida or RTR ARRT - Registered Technologist - Radiography 6 months experience in an acute care setting is preferred. Recent graduates can be considered. Change agility and flexibility a must. Depending on the departmental business needs, may be required to be competent in certain skills such as vital signs, phlebotomy, EKG, front desk duties including registration, lab point of care testing and intake of medical conditions. Performs a variety of procedures, including but not limited to basic portable, fluoroscopy, extremity and chest x-rays, basic computer skills, biopsies, drainage, Trauma Alerts, Core CT protocols and sterile contrast studies acquired by the administration of radio-frequency waves and magnetic energy to human for therapeutic or research purposes. Requires independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative when utilizing ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. To provide proficient technical support by assisting the physician with patient preparation, intra and post-interventional/surgical procedures, management of supplies and devices, physiologic patient monitoring and assisting with direct patient care. Responsible for safe and effective operation of radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment as well as specialized imaging and technical equipment used for procedures. Is a patient/family educator, advocate and liaison.
Estimated pay range for this position is $36.16 - $50.62 / hour depending on experience.Qualifications Degrees:
